English Gum: Knitting Patterns

Knitting is an ancient kind of needlework, which attracts many women and even some men. Skilful craftsmen from simple threads and spokes create truly magical patterns. It would seem that such an ordinary man can not do. In fact, everything turns out to be quite simple.

In knitting there are no complicated manipulations or mysterious interlacing of threads. Everything is based on the most common loops - front and back. Learning to knit simple drawings, you can begin to perform more complex patterns.

Many needlewomen loved knitting, the English gum is especially popular today. It is good for its splendor, amazing ease and excellent stretchability. In addition, the inside of the finished product does not differ in any way from the front side. Most often, an English rubber band is used to decorate the bottom of clothing, create hats, scarves.

Before you start to unfasten the English gum on a future jumper or sweater, you will need to practice on a small sample. And only by gaining experience and mastering this "cobwebbing", you can begin to perform the basic work.

So, for training, you will need thread and knitting needles. It is important to choose the size of the spokes and the thickness of the threads. Too thin knitting needles is not very convenient to work with thick threads, and vice versa.

An odd number of loops are typed on the spokes. You can not knit too tight, otherwise the picture may not work.

Series No. 1. One facial, one cape, one loop to remove without tying. So repeat to the end of the series.

Row No. 2. One cape, remove one wrong loop , without tying. Nakid and the front loop are tied together by the front of the front wall. If you knit behind the back, then the pattern will not work.

Series number 3 and the following - knit, as a number number 2.

Multicolored English gum

It is not necessary to knit an elastic with one color. It will look much more elegant if you use two (or even more) matching threads.

A multicolored cloth is simply knitted: alternating colored threads alternate every two rows. Another, no less beautiful, version of the colored English gum is two-sided. For this, it is necessary to work either on a line or on spokes, in which both ends are working.
