Drugs that increase pressure: advantages and disadvantages

In modern medical practice, a diagnosis such as hypertension is very common. In the presence of this disease, patients systematically complain of increased blood pressure, and the goal of productive treatment is to reduce it in time and prevent highly undesirable repetitions of this pathological process. However, there are also opposite clinical pictures when there is an urgent need for a mandatory increase in blood pressure. Of course, such cases are much less common, but still have a place to be. That is why the pharmacological industry was also provided with drugs that increase blood pressure.

There is an erroneous opinion that if a medical product is dispensed without a prescription, then it is harmless and can not adversely affect the state of health. For example, very often with a sharp drop in pressure, patients prefer to take "Ibuprofen", which, by the way, is currently on sale.

Drugs to increase pressure are used often enough. However, it must be remembered that only a knowledgeable specialist should prescribe a productive treatment, and senseless self-medication can only exacerbate the problem. Although, to be honest, every hypotonic must thoroughly know which drugs increase the pressure, in case of unforeseen relapses.

In general, each potential patient thoroughly knows the characteristics of his body, as well as those drugs that contribute to increased pressure. So, we will study some drugs that increase blood pressure, and also we will find out in detail their effectiveness and side effects.

"Heptamyl." The effect of this non-toxic medication is aimed at increasing the tone of the cardiovascular system, including after its use, the strength of cardiac contractions and cardiac output significantly increases. Heptamyl is a highly effective drug, which has various forms of release. Allowed for admission and in childhood, however, it should be taken with caution in violation of the heart rhythm. The daily dosage should be agreed with the doctor to avoid overdose and deterioration. The disadvantage is the presence of pronounced effects that require immediate withdrawal of the drug.

"Cordiamin". It is a kind of stimulant of the central nervous system, capable of activating the respiratory and vasomotor centers. It can be said that this medication, administered primarily intravenously, is a kind of emergency aid, that is, it is used to immediately raise the pressure. The main advantage is the speed and effectiveness of the impact, but among the shortcomings, there are side effects such as anxiety, twitching of the face muscles, less often - nausea and vomiting.

"Dofimin". If to judge the pharmacological action of this drug, it is important to clarify that its active components exert a specific effect on the dopaminergic receptors, that is, a rapid increase in the tone of peripheral vessels is observed, as a result of which the pressure also rises. It is important to emphasize that it is highly undesirable to overdose with this medication, since large doses provoke spasm of peripheral vessels, tachycardia, migraine attacks and cardiac rhythm disturbance.

"Mezaton". It is a powerful remedy for hypotension, stimulating alpha-adrenergic receptors. Virtually no side effects, expressed exclusively nausea and headache.

However, this is not all drugs that increase blood pressure. Only an expert can choose the appropriate medication of this pharmacological group, based on the degree of disease and the specificity of each organism.

It should be noted that most patients prefer non-drug drugs that increase blood pressure. Here we have in mind the means of alternative medicine of plant origin, which also demonstrate a positive result for the normalization of pressure.
