Documents for the Finnish visa - just about complicated!

If your plans include visiting Finland, then you will have to issue a visa without fail.

It may seem to a person uninitiated that the process is extremely complicated, requiring a huge amount of time, money and nerves. However, in fact, there is nothing terrible in getting a Finnish visa. Everything is done quite simply and quickly, but on the condition that you know what and how to do.

The process begins with the collection of necessary documents. To get a Finnish visa, you need a passport, of course, it must be valid. In doing so, pay special attention to the period of its validity. It is valid for 3 more months, since the moment of finalizing the last trip. If you have a valid second passport, it will also be needed.
Attach old passports with expired validity, especially if they contain any visas. For persons who are under 18 years of age, it is necessary to produce a birth certificate (original). If a child is sent to Finland with only one parent or a third person, then permission must be granted to leave the country from the second parent (both).

It must certainly be certified by a notary. If the receipt of such permission is impossible due to the death of the parent, you will have to produce documents confirming this fact. Documents for a Finnish visa for a non-working citizen must contain any statements from accounts in banks or credit cards, to confirm its solvency.

Now we add to the folder with papers the internal passport of the citizen of the camp and photos, measuring 4.7 * 3.6 cm with a blue or light gray background. On a color photo, the face should be clearly visible, do not subject the photo to any computer processing or retouching to avoid unnecessary complications.

It is a good idea to supplement the documents for the Finnish visa with a certificate from the place of your work. It indicates the position, length of service, salary and contact details of the company. Students will need a certificate from the school.

It is compulsory to have a medical insurance policy valid for the entire stay in Finland for an amount of € 30,000, as well as a tour operator voucher or an invitation document. Now we add to the folder a blank form of the consulate filled with a legible printed handwriting and a receipt for the payment of the consular fee in the amount of 35 €.

If you submit documents for urgent consideration, the amount will increase to 70 €, but the time for consideration will be only 3 days instead of the usual 10 days. Consular fees for Russians do not apply to children with their own passports, until they reach the age of six, schoolchildren and students traveling to study in Finland, and teachers traveling as escorts. Also in this category are close relatives of citizens who are citizens of countries that are members of the European Union, or citizens of the Russian Federation lawfully residing in Finland .

Now that all the documents for the Finnish visa have been collected, you can take them to the visa center or embassy.

Finland is friendly towards tourists and guests from Russia. So if in the past you did not have any violations of the passport regime in this or other countries, then there will be no obstacles to visiting Finland. Of course, provided that the documents for the Finnish visa were provided in full.
