Do I need to deny the true emotions and feelings?

Emotions and feelings are interlinked with our inner experiences. We do not always show our true feelings to society, most often people hide them. Perhaps it is the fear of being misunderstood by another person. Or the fear that his actions will not be perceived in the way he showed it. Sometimes we ourselves do not realize our emotions, perhaps because of their overabundance people are not able to quickly figure out what he now would like to express, and therefore gets confused in his feelings. On psychological trainings, one of the frequently asked questions is: "What are you feeling right now?"

The question is able to put a person in a stupor, he is lost, he does not know what to say. First of all, in order to understand some situation, you need to determine your attitude towards it, that is, to find out what you feel at the moment in relation to the problem. And to solve this issue one minute is not enough, it is worth thinking about, delving into the problem, expressing emotions and feelings.

The emergence of emotions

Human reaction to the environment, problems, everything that happens is called "emotions and feelings." Emotions arose with the evolution of man, these are the innate reactions of the body. We react to everything happening either positively or negatively. Depending on what is happening, a person tunes his body to a certain type of emotion. It is through emotions that we can feel, and also are capable of empathy and empathy for others. But do not think that only a person can be emotional. It turns out that animals are also able to react emotionally to what is happening. Everything depends on how difficult the animal organism is organized: the more difficult, the more emotions the animal is able to express.

In higher animals and humans, the basic emotions are the same. Yes, do not be surprised, the emotions of animals may not manifest themselves as human, but still exist:

- joy;

- grief;

- fear;

- neglect;

- anger;

- interest;

- Hope;

- satisfaction.

Recall that a person all the emotions are innate reactions of the body, in contrast to the senses. According to K. Izard, determine such basic emotions:

- interest;

- fear;

- anger;

- joy;

- sadness;

- surprise;

- contempt;

- disgust;

- shame.

What is the difference between emotions and feelings?

First, it is worth remembering that emotion is always innate, and feeling is acquired with time, throughout life. Emotion is more concerned with the satisfaction of common needs, while feeling more objectively. Feelings concretize our desires and emotions. For example, a person experiences an emotion of joy from listening to music, and only the feeling of joy he can experience listening to his beloved Beethoven or Vivaldi. That is, there is a concretization of desires. It is impossible to explain any feeling if a person has not experienced it. For example, let's take love. A person can describe, thanks to his own observations and emotions, as it does with others, but he will be able to reveal the feeling of love, only having an object of adoration. Feelings are not innate, so they arise, develop and improve throughout life. Their development comes from the simplest, such as a sense of satisfaction. And on this basis new ones are emerging. Emotions and feelings are closely interrelated with our experiences, it is acquiring new feelings, a person is able to change.
