Dietmar Eliashevich Rosenthal - a famous Soviet linguist, interpreter of the rules of the Russian language. He is a man who made a considerable contribution to Russian research, because he has a lot of philological works on his account. In addition, in 1952 he became a candidate of pedagogical sciences. And in 1962 - gets the title of professor.

For every literate person there is hardly any expert philologist more authoritative than Ditmar Rosenthal. On his textbooks, not one educated generation has grown up. Childhood and family

In December 1900, a Pole of Jewish descent was born in Lodz, given the name of Dietmar Eliashevich Rosenthal. Photos of Rosenthal can be seen in the article. He was born into a family of housewife Ida Osipovna and an economist Zygmund Moiseevich. Initially, the family lived in Berlin for a while. In addition to his father, all the relatives spoke in Polish. Sigmund Rosenthal spoke only German, because, like many intelligent Jews of that time, he was a Germanophile. Ditmar, along with his brother went to the gymnasium, where at that time it was necessary to learn the Russian language.

Moving to Moscow

In 1914, with the outbreak of World War I, shortly after the outbreak of the first hostilities, their hometown was on the front line, because of which the whole family had to move to their relatives in Moscow. Having moved to Russia, Ditmar went to the 5th form of the 15th Moscow gymnasium, and, interestingly, even then he did not have the slightest problems with the Russian language. And after all, as it was spoken above, it at all was not for it native. As he himself jokingly noted, he had an inborn literacy and ability to speak languages.

Education

After school, he enters the university on the specialty "Italian language", where he studies from 1918 to 1923. Further, until 1924, Dietmar studied in the Institute of Marxism, named after Karl Marx, where he received the education of an economist. Perhaps his parents encouraged him to get a second education, because his father was an economist, and it is possible that the family considered the profession of Ditmar not reliable enough. Then he becomes a graduate student, and later a research fellow at RANION, where he worked for two years.

Pedagogical activity

Dietmar Elyashevich Rosenthal begins his pedagogical activity, while studying at the Moscow Institute of National Economy. He teaches in high school. A year after the beginning of his practice, she will be awarded the status of a higher school.

Later, since 1927, he taught Polonistics at the philological faculty of Moscow State University. Polonistics is a science that studies the Polish language and its culture. It was then that the knowledge gained in his childhood came in handy. During this period of time, in co-authorship with another linguist, Rosenthal publishes a Phrasebook in Polish, as well as a Polish-Russian and Russian-Polish dictionary attached to it.

Further, Dietmar Elyashevich became a professor and head of the chair of Russian language stylistics at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, in this post he stayed for 24 years, since 1962. He and Bylinsky co-authored the book "Literary Editing." Due to this they became the founders of practical stylistics. On this topic, in the same year, only in collaboration with another linguist, Mamontov, Dietmar Eliashevich Rosenthal publishes another book, "Practical Stylistics of the Modern Russian Language." These works brought a great contribution to education and served to improve the harmony and beauty of speech.

Proceedings

He wrote many works, articles, books, dictionaries, reference books. In all, there are about four hundred works. And also to all other works that affect many aspects of the grammar of the Russian language.
