Diaphragmatic respiration is a panacea? May be

Most of us chronically lack oxygen. Both for objective and subjective reasons. Every year, the oxygen content in the air we breathe decreases by 0.002% due to industrial emissions and global warming. The figure is as if small, but over time it increases, and oxygen is getting smaller and smaller.

For subjective reasons, we attribute stress, its number in the modern rhythm of life increases every year. Because of the stress, the amplitude of our breathing decreases. Studies have shown that almost 90% of the population of civilized countries breathes superficially without using all the lung capacity.

Why do you need diaphragmatic breathing?

Surface breathing does not give the amount of oxygen needed for the normal operation of our biological system. Hence, there is not enough oxygen, our body ceases to absorb 100% of the substances necessary for it, and toxins are comfortably located in the accumulating fat, because the metabolism catastrophically slows down.

Of course, good work of the intestine requires not only oxygen, in which toxins and harmful substances burn, fiber is needed to help clear the villi of the intestine from any garbage. But this is a separate topic.

What to do? We can not increase the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere, but we can learn how to breathe properly, so that the body receives enough of it. For this, there is diaphragmatic breathing. If at the same time we eat right and care for the purity of the intestines (we consume enough fiber), then the body starts to work like a clock.

Surprising results were given by studies of scientists at the University of Los Angeles. They compared exercises on exercise bikes with respiratory gymnastics. And it turned out that for 20 minutes of training a person using diaphragmatic breathing, loses 40% more calories than the one who does the exercise bike. We still have a lot of opportunities in this regard. After all, most people only use their lungs by 25%. The rest is inactive.

Just using the right diaphragmatic breathing, we can lose weight, cleanse the body and become healthy. Because the oxygen that comes in more, now burns fats and toxins, facilitating the work of the adrenal and thyroid glands. Thus, the hormonal balance is adjusted, fat ceases to accumulate, toxins are released through the lungs intensively (there is evidence that up to 60% of toxins can be removed through the lungs), the well-being improves.

Breathing rate

Of course, it is difficult for an untrained person to breathe in full breast permanently. But this is not necessary. Conducting a few short sessions a day, you can achieve very good results. Short-term training will lead to the fact that the amplitude of breathing even outside the sessions will increase significantly. The intake of oxygen will increase at times. It's enough to spend three or four sessions a day in five minutes a day. Although at the very beginning and five minutes it will seem a lot. You may feel dizzy, but eventually everything will be fine. It is necessary to assess the state of health by how long to start the session.

Types of breathing

There are a lot of them. By itself diaphragmatic breathing can be taken as a basis for the treatment of a particular organ. There is a calming (even lowering noticeably pressure) breathing, there is an exciting, cleansing throat and nose (you can forget about angina and cold for good).

These are all varieties, first you need to learn the basics. It's not complicated.

  1. Deep exhaled. Stuck out your belly.
  2. The belly remains. Deeply inhale.
  3. In full breath, we draw in the belly (the air is all inside).
  4. Slowly exhale. The abdomen is retracted.
  5. On a full exhalation we stick out the belly.

All. The cycle was completed. Gradually it will start to turn out smoothly and will not have such clearly marked boundaries. From what stage (point) we hold our breath and how much, how much we breathe and how we exhale, very much depends. This principle distinguishes between types of breathing. Exercises are best done in the fresh air and, of course, not on a full stomach.
