Chickenpox, incubation period. Parents to note.

In a disease such as chicken pox, the incubation period is very important. What happens in the child's body at this time?

In infectious diseases, this is the time from the moment when the pathogen is introduced into the human body, and until the period when the first symptoms of such a disease are clearly visible. Take a disease like chicken pox. The incubation period is a characteristic feature of chicken pox.

Any infectious disease can be divided into three phases. In the beginning the virus penetrates into the body and begins to "settle down" there. Then comes the second phase, during which the virus begins its gradual reproduction. The upper respiratory tract is also affected. Here a hearth is formed, which then begins to spread throughout the body.

With a disease such as chicken pox, the incubation period enters its final phase when infectious pathogens get into the circulatory system. With her help, they quickly spread around the body and begin to appear on the surface of the skin in the form of rashes. The child's organism at this time starts a war with infection. All his defenses are mobilized and come into conflict with the harmful virus. The first antibodies are formed.

Duration of the disease in both children and adults is almost the same. An exception can be called only the extreme age - infancy and old age. In the elderly, the immunity is weakened, and therefore with a disease such as chicken pox, the incubation period can last about three weeks. A newborn baby is well protected from the disease by the immunity of the mother (antibodies against the chickenpox virus) transmitted to him even while in the womb. And only in the event that the mother has not had this illness, the baby can get it. Immunity in newborns, received from the mother, ends up to three, maximum - to six months. The baby must be carefully guarded after six months of life. Experts argue that at the age of up to one year the disease is particularly difficult.

When is chickenpox not contagious? If there is a suspicion that the baby has chickenpox, the incubation period will help prepare for the fight against the disease. It should be noted that there is no need to strictly adhere to the timeline, because in each individual organism the viruses behave differently. It all depends on how many pathogens entered the body. It is also important to consider the degree of infectiousness of the spreader of the infection. Immunity plays an important role in the development of the disease. If the baby's body is tempered, the child is not afraid of the cold and colds, which means that it will perfectly fight against these viruses. When is chickenpox not contagious? It is best to take as a basis the average time. This is about ten to twelve days from the time the virus is introduced into the body.

Chickenpox is very contagious, but only if an infected person coughs and sneezes near you, the disease of which has entered its active stage.

How many days is chickenpox chicken? One, two days before the first symptoms of chickenpox, such as fever, malaise and catarrhal symptoms, infection is already possible. Then on the body of the child appear rashes, simultaneously on the limbs, trunk and head. First it's red spots, then bubbles. Two, at most - three days, they heal and form crusts, which soon disappear. The baby will be bothered by a strong itch, which can be slightly eased by taking a mild sedative. Usually, after dropping the last crusts, the disease can be considered already non-contagious. But do not relax, as there may be manifestations of new rashes. Sometimes on one part of the skin there is already an eruption and a newly formed rash. After the disappearance of the rash, chickenpox is no longer dangerous. With proper care, the disease will pass without a trace, and immunity to it will remain for the rest of life.
