Pain and tingling in the lower abdomen

Very often women turn to a gynecological office with complaints about unpleasant sensations in the lower abdomen: pulling pain, tingling in the lower abdomen, etc. As a rule, this testifies to purely female diseases, which are connected with the reproductive system. Violations can be detected in the uterus, cervix or appendages. Some types of other pelvic organs can also cause frequent tingling in the lower abdomen.

Physicians share pains, localized at the bottom of the abdominal cavity, into two types. The first type includes regular pain, which appears immediately before the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and with the cessation of menstrual retreat. The second group (large) includes pain that is not associated with PMS.

The tingling in the lower abdomen can be caused, as gynecological practice shows, by the period of ovulation, dysmenorrhea, or endometriosis.

But there are types of pain that are not associated with women's diseases (gynecological). They can be caused by disturbances in the work of the gastrointestinal tract:

  • Constipation (if they are caused by a tumor);
  • Appendicitis;
  • Intestinal obstruction;
  • Gastroenteritis;
  • Various inflammatory processes;
  • Paraproctitis;
  • Diverticulitis.

In addition, tingling in the lower abdomen is associated with some problems in the urinary system:

  • Pyelonephritis;
  • urolithiasis disease;
  • cystitis.

And now a little more about the causes of tingling in the lower abdomen associated with the menstrual cycle.
