Chelyabinsk: sights and interesting places of the city

One of the largest cities in Russia, numbering more than a million people, is Chelyabinsk. We will look at the sights of this locality a bit later. First you need to say a few words about his story. On the site of the modern city was once located the Bashkir village with a similar name Chelyab. The city received this status in 1787. For a long time, very few people knew about it, because it was quiet and peaceful. This continued until the gold-bearing vein was found in these areas. After the end of the Great Patriotic War, the city was renamed Tankograd. Its original name was returned to the city after the collapse of the USSR. Now it is a beautiful and attractive village with many interesting places and facilities.

This monument of Andronovo culture is a fortified settlement with a cemetery, discovered in 1987. Today it is one of the wonders of Russia. A majestic structure is the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God. The foundation of this building was laid in 2001, and its construction ended in 2004. Here is a magnificent collection of items belonging to the previous settlements of the South Urals, beginning with the era of the Early Iron Age. The history of the city can be seen in the monumental works of Soviet sculpture, among which the monument "Eaglet", set on the Al Dam. And not far from the cinema "Kinomaks" is a romantic sculptural composition "Sphere of Love."
