One of the most important conditions for the successful cultivation of tomatoes is the planting of seedlings and further care for it. The quality of the grown seedlings, as experienced farmers say, depends on the productivity of the tomato and the quality of the fruit, so special attention is paid to how the cultivation is carried out and how the tomato is caring for the seedlings. And after five days already this temperature regime: in sunny weather 20-22 degrees, cloudy 16-18 degrees and at night 8-10 degrees. Night reduction of temperature is necessary, because at the same time the formation of the first flower brush and seedling is accelerated, which is tempered in this way, after landing in the open ground it tolerates small frosts well.

In addition, in the absence of light, plants begin to use on their life processes the nutrients they accumulate during the day. At a higher temperature at night, seedlings use more accumulated substances during the day. And there may come a time when with increased breathing of plants at night the consumption of nutrients will exceed their daily intake. As a result, plants are stretched and weaken.

Also, while caring for tomato seedlings, it is necessary to pay attention to the increased ventilation of the greenhouse. The influx of fresh air is necessary for a tomato, so that the humidity of the air does not exceed 60%, otherwise plants can infect fungus and bacterial diseases. The seeding time for seedlings usually depends on when the planting of seedlings is planned for a permanent place in a greenhouse or open ground. Usually, seedlings need to be prepared 40-50 days before planting. At the same time, it is important how the tomato will be taken care of and what the lighting conditions will be to prevent the plants from stretching.

Already in mid-April, you can start planting in heated film greenhouses, and in late April and early May in greenhouses on natural solar heating. At the same time, it is possible to disembark under film shelters. After passing the second wave of cold weather in May, you can already plant the seedlings in the open ground, but have a shelter ready in case of a cold return. In order to prepare tomato seedlings for unfavorable weather conditions, it must be regularly seasoned and grown in comparatively harsh conditions, then you can safely expect a large and good harvest.
