Cardiac arrhythmia. Signs. Causes

A healthy person's heartbeat is fairly even. As a rule, blows are not felt. At night, the rhythm slows down to fifty to sixty beats per minute. During exercise, palpitation, on the contrary, increases. Rhythmicity of strokes depends, mainly, on the sinus node. In turn, the activity and condition of the node itself depend on the state of the nervous system. With violations in the sinus node, cardiac arrhythmia may occur.

Symptoms manifest themselves in varying degrees of intensity, depending on the severity of the condition. With physical or emotional loads, the rhythm can be increased to one hundred and twenty-one hundred and fifty beats per minute. Such cardiac arrhythmia, as a rule, does not require the use of special therapeutic measures. To normalize the rhythm is enough rest, taking light sedatives.

What is the arrhythmia of the heart?

This condition is a breakdown of the rhythm of contractions. Cardiac arrhythmia is characterized by the presence of unpleasant sensations in the region of the heart, a feeling of strong palpitation, or, conversely, interruptions in activity. In some cases, the condition may be accompanied by suffocation and pain.

A cardiac arrhythmia can occur due to various causes. Among the main ones are arterial hypertension, ischemic disease, TBI, thyroid gland pathologies. Disease of vessels, vices, inflammatory diseases of the heart, dystrophic changes in the cardiac muscle also contribute to the onset of the disease . Causes may be diabetes and infection.

Often, cardiac arrhythmia occurs in women during pregnancy. In such cases, the condition is due to the presence of congenital malformations, a hereditary predisposition. The disease can occur in a healthy woman. In this case, the condition is determined by the physiological characteristics of pregnancy. Due to the fact that the fetus grows and develops, the load on the mother's heart increases, as the need for oxygen increases. With the growth of the child, certain changes occur in the position of the mother's organs. Together with this, the pressure on the heart also increases, the body becomes more difficult to work. This causes a rhythm disturbance. In addition, cardiac arrhythmia in pregnant women can be associated with hormonal reorganization, as well as changes in the nervous vegetative system.

Among the varieties of the disease are allocated tachycardia, extrasystole, bradycardia. There is also a heart block , atrial fibrillation.

Tachycardia is characterized by an increase in the frequency of contractions (over ninety strokes). With bradycardia, the pulse slows down and becomes less than the norm (less than sixty beats). Under extrasystole means "additional" reductions. Atrial fibrillation is characterized by a disorderly irregular frequency. A blockade is a condition in which the impulse can not pass through certain areas of the muscle. Blockade can provoke cardiac arrest.

In the presence of discomfort, unpleasant sensations against the background of attacks, it is necessary to consult a specialist.
