Caloric content of products: what you need to know?

Caloric content of products is an indicator that means how much energy the body will get after the product is absorbed. The need for calories varies for each person. It is influenced by many factors - weight, height, physical costs, activity, climate, age and sex. Knowing the energy value of each product, it is easy to calculate the daily calorie content. On average, the caloric content of a woman's menu should not exceed 1800 calories per day, men - 2500, unless it's athletes and not people engaged in manual labor. People who experience heavy loads need more caloric food, women up to 2500, and men up to 3000 calories a day. People who are overweight, nutritionists recommend not to reduce calorie content, but to increase the load. With a decrease in calorie, the body will simply switch to economical energy expenditure. It will slow down the processes of digestion and assimilation of food. If after such a diet return to the previous menu, the weight will quickly recover.

Not only the calorie content of the products is important, but also the set. One and the same amount of energy can be obtained from a piece of meat and a handful of chocolates, but what will be more useful? Much can prompt the composition of the product indicated on the package. It is more difficult with prepared dishes, but there are tables on which it is possible to calculate the caloric content of ready-made products. What products produce the greatest amount of energy during combustion in the body?

Fats are the biggest energy producers. Saturated fats, usually of animal origin, have, if not heated, a solid structure. Unsaturated - this is mainly vegetable oils. Their caloric content usually reaches 9.3 kcal per gram.

Below is the energy value of proteins, they have four calories per gram. But they have great nutritional value, because they consist of amino acids and are necessary for the restoration of cells of all organs and tissues. They are contained in meat, milk and dairy products, fish, eggs.

Caloric content of food products consisting of carbohydrates is equal to the energy value of proteins - four kilocalories per gram. They consist of simple sugars and starches, which in the body are converted into glucose. The latter is a nutrition for the cells and serves to form in the muscles and liver stores of glycogen.

If we consider products and meals separately, the most caloric will not always be useful. High-calorie dishes are from fast food. The Hamburger from McDonald's "eats" a third of the daily ration, high-calorie desserts with whipped cream, chocolate pastes and nuts in chocolate. The same can be said about bacon and fat. Only 100 grams of fat will replace half the daily norm for calories. Few people know the caloric value of alcohol, although it is almost equal to the energy potential of fats and is 7.1 kcal per gram !!! And, the dose of alcohol begins to disintegrate and soak up almost immediately after it enters the body, however, the process can be slowed down if you eat something in front of the banquet.

But the calorie content of herbal products is in no way comparable to those mentioned above. It is very low in vegetables, especially fresh ones. Heat-treated vegetables are more caloric, but this is due to the fats with which they were cooked. Low-calorie and unsweetened fruits, one medium mandarin has a caloric value of 20 calories, and one hundred grams of watermelon is 12 calories. These products not only do not threaten the figure, but are also useful. Do not abuse dried fruits and candied fruits, their calorie content is high enough. As a rule, the calorie content is lower for foods that contain a lot of water. Absolutely no calories in drinks without sugar.

Therefore, you do not need to lose weight, but just correctly count the calories and then the extra pounds will not stop living.
