Cadillac Fleetwood: luxury, beauty and rock 'n' roll

For 75 years, the world's population looked with admiration at the appearance, formation and development of such a car as Cadillac Fleetwood. When in 1996, a farewell speech was delivered in honor of the end of the release of this stunning model, a huge number of fans of this luxury device was literally on the verge of a heart attack.

1921 was marked by the triumphant appearance of this elegant car. The third decade of the 20th century was filled with bright colors for motorists: after all, the most dandy models of Cadillac Fleetwood were produced. So far, in order to become the owner of such a chic unit, fanatical motorists are ready to sacrifice much.

In 1954, Cadillac Fleetwood was born, which became the first favorite car of the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley. It was then that this four-wheeled symbol of luxury and prosperity became the embodiment of the musical Olympus. In addition to the chic appearance, this car demonstrated the power and strength of its eight-cylinder "heart". Under the pink long hood of this proud device, the thundering power of the 5.4-liter V8 engine, powered by 160 steel willful mustangs, was hidden. This car served faithfully and truthfully to Elvis and his team, however, not very long: during the tour Cadillac Fleetwood caught fire right on the road.

However, the love for this car was stronger than the bitterness of its loss, so after a while the king of rock and roll gets four modifications of this amazing device. The crown of his collection was the 1954 model of a pleasant pink color, which he presented to his mother. By the way, it was this act that prompted a huge number of mothers to dream about such a gift, and their sons - to strive to translate this dream into reality. This desire was reflected in one of the best films "Knockin 'on Heaven".

This model Cadillac was very popular until the 60s, when it was slightly pushed on the pedestal of the newly-made Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. This modification was available in two versions: a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe. In place of this luxury car came another model of the company - Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine, which debuted in 1976. It is worth noting that the company was increasingly trying to give fans of its brand the opportunity to own a luxury car at a reasonable price.

In the early and mid-90s engineers of the concern General Motors spent a huge amount of time over thinking about the release of a more modified and obstinate device. The result of their aspirations was the installation under the hood of the Cadillac Fleetwood engine Corvette. This motor gave the car an unprecedented power. The end of the era of this model was marked by clearer options for driving, stabilizing traction control in bends, folding exterior mirrors, and modified spark plugs that acquired platinum tips.

2013 also boasts a huge number of luxury and luxury cars. One of these steel "swallows" is New Cadillac: changing its shape and improving the content, the concern of General Motors, like many years ago, caused a real storm of emotions among fans of this brand.
