Building blocks

Building blocks - a fairly extensive group of building materials, in which there is a large list of names. They connect one thing - they are all provided for erecting partitions and walls, different buildings and laying the foundations of houses. There are many types of building blocks: aerated concrete and foam concrete blocks (cellular blocks from cement, sand and gas and foam agents); Blocks of gas-silicate (in the structure of gassing agents, lime, cement, quartz sand and water); Expanded clay blocks (the result of mixing concrete and light thermal insulation material - expanded clay); Blocks polystyrene concrete (the composition includes cement mixtures and granular polystyrene); Slag blocks (produced by the technology of vibrocompaction of concrete mass, into which industrial slag of other fillers, for example, gravel, sand, sawdust) was added. At the moment, building blocks of polystyrene concrete, expanded clay, foam concrete and aerated concrete are the most popular on the market of construction services. Still very popular blocks of sawdust. Ceramsite concrete blocks are lightweight wall stones produced by the method of vibrocompression from a claydite mixture. In its composition quartz sand, cement, claydite fraction 5 - 10 mm. Such blocks can contain voids of various shapes and volumes (from 20 to 45%), which reduces the weight of the system and improves thermal insulation and soundproof characteristics. Gas silicate blocks are an excellent building material for the construction of buildings. Exclusivity of these blocks is the following qualities: non-flammability, low weight, rather high hardness, again, excellent insulating properties. They consist of a mixture of quartz sand, water, aluminum powder and lime, which ultimately gives excellent strength to the material, which is amenable to any changes. Foam concrete blocks of construction are obtained by mixing the astringent ingredient (Portland cement) with a pre-prepared rack of industrial foam. According to their characteristics, foam concrete blocks are very similar to aerated concrete materials. Foam concrete has a kind of surface that fits any type of finish. The main advantages are: 1) ecological compatibility, because they are made of organic materials and do not emit volatile toxic compounds; 2) durability - they are practically not affected by time, do not rot and do not cake; 3) noise insulation and thermal stability - this is due to the cellular structure; 4) fire resistance - the unit does not contain chemical compounds, exclusively cement, water and sand; 5) practicality - due to the correct forms and the possibility of further processing and cladding; 6) economy - this material is relatively inexpensive and will greatly facilitate and accelerate construction work. With the help of polystyrene concrete blocks it is possible to build a sufficiently warm house, to insulate the floor, the bearing walls and the roof of the building. Such material is hard to ignite, it retains the heat remarkably, it has high frost resistance and sound insulation. With the use of such blocks, a savings of up to 70% is possible. They are environmentally harmless, just sawed, dismantled, which increases the pace of construction. Slag blocks are relatively inexpensive building material, which is produced by the method of vibrocompression of the mixture. The mixture includes claydite clay and small particles of crushed stone. This type of blocks is used in the construction of low-rise buildings. To increase the time of operation of walls from these blocks, it is advised to cover them with plaster or other facing material.
