British comedies - a demonstration of the specific humor of the English

A really funny comedy in the modern film industry is a piece phenomenon. The current comediographs, not philosophizing, led by the thirst for profit, put black and so-called "sailor" humor on conveyer production. Such comedy projects in the majority of pay for themselves at the box office, but are instantly forgotten by the viewer. Fortunately, there are rare exceptions, for example, British comedies that have the main component of success, they are funny, and the degree of humor in them is growing.

"Gentleman of Fortune"

Enumerate British comedy films, not mentioning the almost national kinogero, Mr. Bean, at least incorrectly.

The viewer, who is familiar with the English TV series "The Thin Blue Line" about the misadventures of Mr. Bean, is unnecessary to represent the comedian Rowan Atkinson. The popularity of this simple and extremely pedantic British, with an enviable periodicity falling into ridiculous situations, has long spread beyond the foggy Albion. And after the movie "Mel Bin" (IMDb: 6.40) was released in 1997, the name proper, mentioned in the title, was transformed into a common name. The picture is a hilarious cocktail of famous British and characteristic American humor, which makes it extremely funny. The humor in it, unambiguously, is not intellectual, but also not toiletry.

The British comedies about Mr. Binet in 2007 were supplemented by the unassuming ribbon for the whole family "Mr. Bean on vacation" (MDb: 6.30). This comedy is a standard comic story, holding on to one comic hero. The talent of the unrivaled Rowan Atkinson, fortunately, is enough to keep spectator attention. In addition to him in the tape there is one more bright performer - Willem Defoe, together they made a wonderful acting duet.

"English, Johnny English ..."

Of course, the tape of Peter Howitt "Agent Johnny English" (IMDb: 6.10) is worthy of being mentioned in the publication listing the British comedies. The picture with Rowan Atkinson in the title role is removed as a parody of the Bondinian. The film is not without openly vulgar situations, but watching the unpresentable loser Johnny English (logic in spite of) deftly deal with the enemy, it is impossible to resist the attacks of Homeric laughter. The viewer receives a tremendous charge of good mood and life-giving optimism during the viewing. By the way, the category "Best British Comedy" also contains the spy comedy "Agent Johnny English: Reboot" (IMDb: 6.30), in which the tireless Rowan Atkinson sneers at Elizabeth II, fights with the old ladies and succulently inclines the Russian name Pudovkin.

On the verge between comedy and melodrama

Romantic melodramatic comedy "Bridget Jones Diary" (IMDb: 6.70) - a completely fictional debutant film history directed by Sharon Maguire, she indirectly affects virtually all social spheres without exception, somewhat suffering from the presence of feminist pathos. However, since the tape was successful in the film distribution and became the greatest hit in the UK, it was certainly impossible for the authors to get away from the continuation of this film history, so there appeared "Bridget Jones: The Edge of the Reasonable" (IMDb: 5.90) and "Bridget Jones-3" (IMDb: 7.40 ), Which are positioned by filmmakers as the best British comedies of recent years.

The best of the best

The specifics of British humor are known to everyone. The English sometimes mock at everything that can bring a smile, including over what is considered sacred: over the government, the royal people and even the funeral rite. Such a courage showed the director Frank Oz, taking off the comedy "Death at a funeral" (IMDb: 7.40). Of course, in the tape there are components to which you can find fault. First, the movie moved a lot of gags from the famous British sitcoms. Secondly, the performer of one of the main roles Alan Tudik clearly overacts. But if you drop the tediousness, then you can admit that Frank Oz created an almost perfect comedy film with a well-pronounced English accent and theatrical chamber.

Directed by Robert B. Wyde, who drew the hilarious Simon Pegg into the work on his project, the charming Megan Fox, the sullen Jeff Bridges and the clever Kirsten Dunst, created the genius and comical comedy "How to lose friends and make everyone hate you" (IMDb: 6.50). The film can be used as a model, explaining to the ignorant what the real British comedies are.

The most successful comedy films produced by British cinematographers also include the project of English filmmaker Stephen Frears "Irresistible Tamara" (IMDb: 6.20) and the black comedy about Irish manners from John Michael McDon "Once Upon a Time in Ireland" (IMDb: 7.30).
