Booking headlights - a reliable way to protect yourself from damage

Most of the work on car repair is associated with the replacement of headlights or their glasses. Our roads are far from ideal, small objects, stones, sand or rubble fly out from under the wheels of cars, all this damages the glass or even the device itself. As a result of frivolous incidents on the roads, bumpers and optics suffer the most. To reduce the likelihood of damage, headlights are used. The procedure consists in gluing the surface with an elastic film of various thicknesses. You can make your own headlights booking. To do this, you need to buy a film, cut the workpiece, which will be as close to the shape of the headlamp, leaving a margin of 2 cm. Next, carefully clean the optics (pre-grind) the dirt and degrease the surface. Now we heat the workpiece with a hair dryer, so that it becomes elastic. After unfastening the protective film on one side , we stick it on the headlight and carefully crush it, preventing air bubbles from appearing. If the air still hit, we expel it with a flannel or other soft cloth.

The process of pasting requires patience and accuracy: you need to achieve an ideal fit without the slightest air bubble. After complete pasting of the surface, cut the excess. In order to achieve maximum fit, you can slightly cut the film around the edges (do it carefully so as not to scratch the headlight).

The quality of pasting depends on the light passing capacity of the headlamp, and if you are not sure that you will cope with the task at the proper level, it is better to order a paste on the service station.
