Boiler heating with solid fuel: what is it?

The solid fuel heating boiler becomes a very useful device in the case where there is no possibility of connection to the gas main. Such devices operate on wood, briquettes or coal. The fuel is poured into the boiler, it gradually burns, giving its energy to the heat exchanger, through which the water circulates. The coolant transfers its energy to the radiators in the rooms. This method of heating can be considered relatively cheap, and you do not need gas or electricity. Thanks to this, it is possible to organize an independent heating of a dacha, cottage or a country house.

The boiler for heating with solid fuel is quite possible to use as the main source of heat in the dwelling. It can be installed as a single device, and can be connected in parallel to an electric heater, which will allow the room to be heated continuously. The power of such devices is calculated taking into account the need for 1 kilowatt of energy for 10 square meters. More accurate calculations can be made only with the obligatory consideration of the thickness of the walls, as well as the material from which they are made, the size and location of windows and doors. When choosing domestic boilers for solid fuels, one should pay attention to the chimney for them, their height and cross section. It is important to understand that the devices of different models are equipped with various docking chimney holes, to which the chimney is connected.

The solid fuel heating boiler can be equipped with a mechanism for automatically maintaining the set temperature. This is achieved through the use of special traction regulators, which, when the device temperature is stable, increases the burn-out time from the fuel filling. A boiler for heating of this type has one drawback - it is the need to add a resource to the furnace for work. One tab on average burns out in about 6-8 hours. Further, it is required to report again the wood, otherwise the temperature of the coolant will fall rapidly. To eliminate such a shortcoming of such a system, it is worthwhile to establish in parallel an inexpensive electric boiler capable of maintaining a temperature of 40 degrees in the intervals between the furnaces. Some modern models already have a built-in electric heater or a place for its installation.

The solid fuel heating boiler can be single-circuit or dual-circuit. The first option allows only the heating of the room, and the second - to receive more and hot water. If you decide to use a single-circuit device, you can ensure the flow of hot water by installing an electric boiler.

A cast iron boiler is a device assembled from cast sections. The main advantage of such devices is that the heat capacity of cast iron is the highest. After the fuel burns, it will cool down much more slowly than the steel boiler. It is not subject to corrosion, which allows to guarantee its very long service life.
