This drug is recommended for use:

- for healing of the skin with microtrauma, including scratches and burns, as well as with skin irritation or with pressure ulcers and chronic skin ulcers, erosions of the cervix, anal fissures, after skin transplantation ;

- for prophylactic purposes, as well as for the treatment of rough, cracked or dry skin;

Bepanten: instruction (method of application and mechanism of action)

For the treatment of various superficial wounds and the prevention of cracked or rough skin, Bepanten is applied several times a day as needed.

In cases where the ointment is used to care for nipples in nursing women, the ointment is applied to the mammary glands after each application of the baby to the breast.

When treating defects in the cervical mucosa, the drug is applied once or twice a day only under the supervision of the attending physician.

For the prevention of diaper dermatitis, Bepanten is applied after each diaper change (or diaper).

Important! The basis of dexpanthenol (the main component of the drug) is a large amount of fat. That is why the cream quickly penetrates the skin, while easily spreading over its surface. It is very effective in the treatment of wet wounds, unprotected skin surfaces, hairy areas of the body, painful sunburn.

Bepanten: instruction (contraindications and side effects )

Ointment is not recommended unless there is an increased sensitivity to the main active ingredient or other components of the drug. In cases where the body does not tolerate the remedy, various adverse reactions may occur.

These include various disorders from the immune system, skin and subcutaneous tissues: allergic reactions, contact or allergic dermatitis, erythema, pruritus, eczema, urticaria, rashes, the emergence of vesicles, skin irritation. All these phenomena are rare, since dexpanthenol is non-toxic and, as a rule, very well tolerated.

Bepanten: instruction (special instructions)

When applying the drug, make sure that there is no contact with the eyes. The use of ointments for the treatment and healing of wounds that are in the anus or genitals, while using latex products at the same time, can lead to a decrease in the reliability of the latter.

During lactation and pregnancy, the drug is also actively used, as there is no reason to believe that Bepanthene is harmful to the mother or child. While waiting for the child, at the same time, the drug should be taken only on the advice of a doctor.

When treating nipple cracks during feeding, the product needs to be washed off before applying, but most experts state that it can not be done.

As for children, Bepanten can be used by children of different ages (including breastfed). The agent does not affect the reaction when driving or operating any machinery.

Attention! This instruction is intended for familiarization with the preparation and its action. Before using Bepantin, consult a doctor and read the manufacturer's annotation carefully, which is attached to the tube in the package.
