Xavier Hollander: author and heroine of erotic novels

Scandalously known writer and journalist, the former representative of the "ancient profession" Xavier Hollander opened her readers a lot of professional secrets "priestesses of love." Despite the public opinion about prostitution, her books completely on the other hand reveal the intimate world of a woman who is perfectly familiar with the art of seducing men.

Young years

Xavier Hollander was born on June 15, 1943 in the territory of present Indonesia in the town of Surabaya. She was a charming child. Perhaps, this was facilitated by the "beauty of mixed blood": her mother had German and French roots, and her father - Jewish and Dutch.

The first couple of years of her life were spent in the Japanese internment camp. Further Xavier had to live in Amsterdam, later - in Johannesburg with his half-sister. While in South Africa, she meets American economist Carl Gordon and takes lessons from him. After this, the girl moves to New York and soon works in Manhattan as secretary of the Dutch consulate. But it did not last long.

A representative of the "ancient profession"

Already in 1968, Xavier Hollander abandoned the life of an office worker. Now she becomes a high-paid girl on call. A year later, Hollander began to run her own public house with the interesting name The Vertical Whorehouse. In a short space of time, New Xavier Hollander appears in New York - Madame, whose business flourishes every day.

However, in 1971 everything changes. For prostitution, the girl is arrested, after which she is forced to leave the United States of America.

Themes of books

Nevertheless, Xavier Hollander gained world fame thanks to her other hobby - writing books for adults.

Both in America and in Western Europe, her books sold in large numbers, numbering millions. Each new creation of the author became an occasion for all sorts of discussions and disputes. Subjects of books often sounded in the discussions of writers, publishers, journalists, sexologists, politicians and ordinary readers. Everyone was interested in the question of the significance of this pornoliterature with a deep and ambiguous meaning. Some leading Russian and American sexologists have come to the conclusion that such works not only do not harm, but also have a charitable impact on the reader.

Famous novels

What does Xavier Hollander talk about in his work? Books written by this author are intended only for adults. After all, in each of them, the topic of sex is brightly revealed: how to diversify the intimate life, find mutual understanding in bed, increase the interest of a partner, awaken a passion and much more.

One of Xavier's first works is The Happy Prostitute: My Story, printed in 1971. These memoirs strike the reader with the frankness with which the writer talks about her erotic experience.

Hollander's world bestsellers were the novels "Paris Tango", "Madame", "Kiss of the Snake", "Supersex", "Madame of the Embassy".

Among all the other books of the writer, Osiris stands apart. If in other works the author described her life, then the basis of this novel lay the ancient Egyptian legend of a powerful god who was killed and dismembered by his enemies. All parts of the body of Osiris were buried in different parts of the world. Then the events unfold in one of the African states around the "golden phallus" of the god, found by a Swedish archaeologist during excavations.

One of the last published a book "No longer a child." In it Hollander told her sincere story about the loss of her mother.

Other activities of the writer

What other talents does Xavier Hollander have, whose personal life is widely reflected in her work? In addition to a considerable number of novels, she also writes plays. Xavier successfully produced them, staying in Amsterdam.

Almost thirty-five years Hollander gave advice to readers of the Penthouse magazine in the section "Call Me, Madame."

In the seventies the album of the former girl on a call under the name "Xavier" was published. In it, she talked about her views on prostitution and the importance of sex in people's lives. In those years, the girl managed to live in Toronto and marry a Canadian antiquarian.

In 1975, Hollander starred in the autobiographical picture "My pleasure is my business".
