To introduce the child to the properties of different materials, you need to come up with an interesting task that can be easily accomplished in several ways. Applique "Hedgehog" - a good option for classes in artistic creation. Looking through different kinds of paper, natural material, the child will not only develop fine motor skills, creative abilities, but will also supplement his knowledge about the world around him.

Manufacturing options

Application "Hedgehog" can be made of various materials and their combinations, for example from:

  • Colored paper;
  • Corrugated paper;
  • Fabric;
  • Dried leaves and petals;
  • Cereals or seeds;
  • Plasticine.

Choose your favorite idea, but rather suggest the child try different techniques.

What you need to work

Application "Hedgehog" will require the preparation of the following:

  • Bases for gluing (white or colored cardboard, paper);
  • Pattern (contour drawing) ;
  • A pencil and an eraser for drawing a contour (or a printer for printing a workpiece);
  • Stencils for cutting out details (trunk, nose, eyes);
  • Adhesive.

The rest will depend on what you are going to use as the main material (leaves, groats, paper, etc.).

Application "Hedgehog" from paper

This is the easiest material to process. Such a craftsmanship is easily performed by the younger preschooler. You can use this method:

  1. Find the ready template for the application or just the picture you like with the hedgehog.
  2. Print the image in a double copy or according to the instructions provided with the template.
  3. Cut out the blanks of the elements (from one sheet), the second one will be the base.
  4. Glue the parts to the appropriate places. If you use an intermediate layer of pieces of cardboard or polystyrene for each part, you get a three-dimensional application.

Another way, where templates are not needed, will require you only a basic sheet, the preparation of the trunk and strips of any paper on which the fringe is cut. It is convenient to use corrugated paper. From it is easy not only to cut such wide needles, but also to twist from each thin flagellates, which will look very natural and even volume. If such a fringe is cut not on strips, but on circles that are equal in diameter to the fur coat of the hedgehog, which are glued to each other, we get a three-dimensional work.

Application of cereals and seeds

Now you know how the "Hedgehog" application is made from paper, but this is not the only material that can be used to perform the craft. Very impressive and unusual look relief images, laid out of cereals and seeds, as from the elements of the mosaic. To make such a job, proceed as follows:

  1. Find a suitable contour image or color picture, where the main character is a hedgehog. Print the template.
  2. Choose seeds or cereals suitable for color, shape and texture. Needles are well laid out from sunflower seeds, although watermelon kernels are also suitable. Melon or rice grains have a suitable shape, but they will have to be painted. If you need to change the color of the seeds, you can do this after gluing or before, but with a preliminary drying of the paint layer in the second case.
  3. Apply glue to the hedgehog coat. Lay a row of seeds in a row of needles.
  4. If you will also make the trunk of cereals, use a smaller fraction, for example, a manga.
  5. Eyes can or do not spread, and leave painted, or glue on top of the decorative layer of plastic purchased or made of paper (cardboard).

Hedgehog from leaves: applique

This version of the work will introduce the child to natural materials, teach you how to compare shapes and colors. It is good to use bright mottled autumn leaves. It is important to dry them properly. They must necessarily be freshly picked. The technology is simple: dry blanks with iron through paper or put between pages of an unnecessary book under the press. From the dried multi-colored leaves you will get a very beautiful application "Hedgehog in the forest".

The work is done like this:

  1. Take the colored cardboard of the appropriate shade. It will be glued to all the details, so put the foundation on a flat surface.
  2. Draw, cut out the stencil or hedge pattern on the contour image of the trunk of the hedgehog. If you do not glue it with leaves, glue them to the workpiece.
  3. To give the character an interesting natural color and a pleasant texture, glue the body of the trunk with leaves, for example, silver willow or poplar. After drying, cut on the contour and also glue to the base.
  4. A spiny coat is easy to make by sticking the leaves in rows in the directions as the needles are located.
  5. Eyes can be made from paper, as well as grass, mushrooms and other details. If natural material, time and patience is enough, make every detail of the leaves, gluing a paper stencil, which, after cutting off the contour, you will then paste it into the right place of your panel.

As you can see, the application "Hedgehog" can be done in different ways. Offer the child different ways of working. All options will fall in love with the baby.
