What is bulk application? How to do it?

What is this mysterious three-dimensional application? Why is it so loved by those who have ever tried to do it? Very simple! This is an amazing pastime and a unique result! Besides, it is better to make such articles with your child. And who is better than children to assess the opportunity to tinker in one company with his mother, using glue, paper and a bunch of scraps ?!

What materials will be needed?

Volumetric applications of paper require for their manufacture materials that certainly exist in every home.

  1. Colored paper. If the house has children, then there are a few crumpled packages of paper. And you can remind for an infinite time about the need to accurately fold it - nothing helps ... But we will like this.
  2. Scissors. Ideally, we need both large, for paper, and small. They are convenient to cut out small details. But if necessary, you can manage alone.
  3. Glue. For the manufacture of applications from paper, we will use the usual clerical glue. If an artisan is planned, made of fabric, then it is better to choose a glue for the fabric. For example, "Moment".
  4. Filler. It can be trimming threads or cotton wool.
  5. Cardboard or heavy paper.

Volumetric application. Manufacturing techniques

Let's talk about the sequence in which such an application is made. We choose the basis on which our application will be fastened - it can be cardboard or a thick album sheet. If you do not like the color of the base, then you can offer the child in advance to paste on it a sheet of colored paper, or the night before, paint with watercolor or gouache. If the baby has chosen a painting option, then carefully wash the child, surrounding objects and dry the colored paper.

Then cut out the blanks. Let's say we decided to make a field of dandelions. Take a few ordinary paper napkins. We need bright yellow and white napkins. It is necessary to fold each napkin from the initial state in which it was in the package, two or three more times, and then in the center to fix it with a stapler. Cut out the circle with an uneven, as it were, jagged edge. Next, very carefully raise the layers of the napkin in succession to the center. We have a charming dandelion head. We do both yellow and "old" - white flowers.

Then we cut out stems and figured leaves from our green colored paper for our dandelions. It remains only to paste them on our workpiece, and the bulk application is ready!

What can be done in this technique?

Using a technique called "bulk application", you can make excellent gifts for all relatives and friends. In addition, you can lime a huge amount of unnecessary shreds of tissue and the remnants of colored paper in order to make applications. Crafts made of paper and scraps are sure to please grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts and uncles. The main thing is that you will do them together with the child. Gifts, which are made by own hands, are much more valuable than those that were simply bought in the store, because they are imbued with a piece of the soul!
