By the way, Sholokhov did not come out to the level of the above-mentioned work more than once, which also pushes some thoughts.

Abstract: "Science of hatred" (Sholokhov M.)

Every creature has its own destiny. The soldiers in the war, too, has its own destiny, but what it will be, no one knows.

The story is conducted on behalf of the person who came to the front. He starts a conversation with Victor Gerasimov, a lieutenant. He was a tall, stooped and too-raised shoulders. His face expressed complete calm and even dispassion. It was about a recent battle. During the conversation, the narrator notices that the lieutenant reacts a little to the captive Germans who pass him: his eyes incinerate passing Germans. The narrator does not understand this reaction of Victor, but he can not be asked. After a while he learns that Gerasimov himself was captured by the Germans and experienced a lot of dashing things there. After that, Victor is not afraid of death and looks with pleasure at the bodies of the dead enemies. In the meantime, the two interlocutors will have two more meetings.

History of Gerasimov

What does the story "Science of Hatred" (Sholokhov) go on? The summary tells us that Victor was born into a family of workers. From his youth he worked as a mechanic at a large factory, which was located in the wilderness - in Siberia. Despite the hard work, Gerasimov created a family: he had a loving wife and two children. They lived amicably and peacefully, because the time was hard, and here it's certainly not until the relationship is clarified. With them lived the father of Victor, who became disabled.

War

The "science of hatred" (Sholokhov), the brief content of which we are considering, tells us that Victor was shown off to the war with a patriotic attitude. The wife and the old father constantly reminded him of the bold and true business he was going to accomplish. Even the local secretary of the district party committee, who was taciturn and closed, managed to say a few kind words to Gerasimov on the road.

In the summer of 1941 Victor took part in battles. Already during the first battle, the Russians won and captured about 15 Germans. Gerasimov remembers how they walked frightened, pale and silent: from the rebellious spirit, nothing remained in them. After a while, the soldiers began to secretly treat the Germans with papyrus, tobacco, and a kettle of cabbage soup. One HR man looked down on it because he knew what the Germans were doing behind the front line. Soon Victor Gerasimov himself learned about it. The summary of the story "The Science of Hatred" by Sholokhov continues horror, seen behind the front line.

Germans

When the Russians went on the offensive, they found out what was going on behind the line. They were shocked by the bodies of women, children, burned to the ground. Many of them were brutally murdered: people were simply mocked. Most of all, a rape 11-year-old girl crashed into memory. She reminded him of her daughter's fifth grader. This sight was imprinted in Gerasimov's head for a long time. Soon the soldiers realized that they were not fighting people, but with beasts, who were hungry for blood and violence. After that, they saw the place of execution of the Red Army men, and this struck them even more. The soldiers compared the show to the sight of a butcher's shop. Parts of the body hung on the trees, many people's skin was ripped off. From all this, the soldiers became brutalized themselves, and for ever in their hearts settled burning hatred.

In the autumn in one of the battles Gerasimov was wounded, but he was left to fight. When he was wounded again, he fell into German captivity. He woke up in the middle of the field and saw that his enemies were approaching him. Not wishing to die lying, he stood up, gathering the last strength. The Germans looked at him and mocked him, laughing loudly. Then all the prisoners were lined up in a row: Victor found out only a couple of guys from his company. Swarthy and all, similar to the Jews, shot directly on the spot. The rest were taken to the German part. Gerasimov barely walked, he was terribly thirsty. Several times he wanted to escape, but these were unsuccessful attempts. He realized that he had lost a lot of blood and could not control his body. Yet he cursed himself every minute for not trying to escape from here.

How will Mikhail Sholokhov ("Science of Hatred") end his story? The summary comes to an end when Victor Gerasimov escapes from captivity. Life under the enemy's supervision was given to him very difficult, but he did not give up hope of escape. Will the story tell about the escape? "Science of hatred" (Sholokhov M.) ends with the fact that Viktor strikes the guard with a shovel on the head and escapes. He spends the night in the forest and goes where the eyes look, but soon the guerrillas find him and save the soldier's life. This concludes the summary. "Science of hatred" (Sholokhov M.) - a short story, but he conveys an atmosphere of anger and rage more than realistic.
