A registered letter as a reliable way of forwarding correspondence

In the age of technological progress and universal computerization, we are increasingly writing letters to each other. Communication with friends and relatives living in other cities or countries is reduced to sending sms messages, correspondence in social networks or by e-mail. Despite this, the work at the post offices did not diminish. How long does it take to process and deliver a registered letter only!

What is this kind of postal item? It's pretty simple. If you need to send important documents or securities to the addressee, you can send him a registered letter. To do this, you need to come to the post office and say about your desire to the operator. Currently, for registered letters there are special envelopes of standard and large (for A4 size documents) sizes. The cost of such a departure depends on the weight of the papers, so they will be preliminarily weighed. The maximum allowable weight of registered letter is 100 g.

Further, a mail officer will paste a stamp on the letter, according to its value, and the sender will issue a receipt. This paper must be kept at least until you are sure that the letter was delivered to the addressee. If you have to prove that you sent documents, then the receipt is very useful. In addition, it has legal force.

Earlier, a custom-made stamp was placed on the envelope of the registered letter. Currently, this procedure is replaced by a bar code label. Each barcode is an individual letter number, where you can track its location at any time.

If you need to know exactly when the addressee received the documents, send a registered letter with a notification. In this case, immediately after the letter has been delivered to the addressee, you will be sent a message (on a special form) that the shipment has been delivered.

Usually a registered letter is delivered to the addressee and handed over to the addressee. However, if the addressee was not at home, then a message was written to his mailbox that a letter had come to his name. Now he can get it at the post office.

Unfortunately, not everyone is in a hurry to pick up registered mail. After five days, mail employees have to write out a secondary notice, which they already give to the addressee personally in the hands of the receipt. From this point on, the slowest citizens run the risk of owing the post office a certain amount for every day of the letter's storage.

Why people are not in a hurry to receive a registered letter? It would seem that since the letter came with such a note, it means that there is something very important. But the fact is that registered structures are committed by official structures, such as the pension fund, tax authorities, courts, etc. For many, such documentation is an unnecessary piece of paper, which will immediately go to the trash can. So why take them at all?

How long is the registered letter depends on the delivery region. The duration of the shipment can be from 3 to 17 days. Within one settlement, the registered mail will not take more than two days. Depends on the length of delivery and the method of forwarding, because you can send such a letter both through mail and courier service.
