A mentor is an assistant on the path of life

In fact, a person can not live fully, if from the childhood someone will not bring up, teach. And not necessarily teachers should be parents. And on the path of life, in the profession you need someone who will pass on your knowledge. A mentor is a teacher, teacher, counselor in one person.

Without mentoring, success in work is impossible

In this section, it is worth talking about mentoring in the professional sphere. Everyone knows that it is impossible to learn all the details about a case. Even the CEO in his time had studied with someone else, otherwise he would not have been able to hold office for long. At the enterprise, a mentor is a person who must teach the trainee everything. After all, a person comes for the first time after many years of study, sees in front of himself everything unfamiliar and new.

On this occasion there is a phrase that has become a catch phrase: "Forget what you were taught, do as I do." Often this applies to representatives of professions that are related to technology, technology. For example, a young man studied in the specialty of "technical exploitation of railways." Educated, learned all the rules and ancillary subjects. I came to work as a locksmith locomotive repairman. And this profession is responsible, requiring attention and impact. Yesterday's student does not know what to do, but it's necessary to work. Here, and need a mentor in the face of the master, partner or engineer. The trainee has the right to ask any questions about the work, and the mentor is obliged to answer, help, prompt and supervise.

The athlete will not become a champion in itself

Do champions become heroes in sports without leadership? No. Certainly, someone should train the athlete with techniques, control the correctness of the actions. In sports, a mentor is usually a coach. But such a teacher should not only monitor the wards, give commands and count points. It is important for the mentor for the athletes to be and support.

Mentors meet not only in big and small sports, but also among amateur sports. For example, climbing, diving, fitness. Instructors teach in such places. In fact, they are mentors for those who decided to seriously engage in, develop.

Mentoring in religion

In any religion, mentoring is practiced. In religious life, someone should also instruct in the faith, help. Who does not know that a Hindu has his own teacher - a lama? After all, some books will not be enough to understand serious things.

In Orthodoxy, the spiritual mentor is a parish priest, bishop or patriarch. Christians call such people just confessors. What does he teach the believers? Each person chooses one of two ways: a layman or a monk. Anyone can at will be his mentor. The confessor in the ordinary Orthodox Church accepts confession from parishioners, gives spiritual advice, blesses on some business or, on the contrary, warns. The priest has a serious responsibility for mentoring. In monasteries, too, there must necessarily be confessors in the person of priests and elders-schimmers (high level of monasticism). Simply put, "ordinary" Christians learn from the wise, taught by life experience and prayer. It is the confessor who can sincerely pray to God for his flock, help in life.

Educators and teachers for children

Teachers are involved in kindergartens and day nurseries. Everyone knows that this is either a strict or a kind woman. In the morning the whole group is engaged, teaches the days of the week, colors and so on. And after lunch, classes begin on skill, needlework.

Is it possible to call a tutor teacher? Probably not. If only this person from the bottom of his heart wants to save children from life's mistakes. But after all the mentor is not just a responsible person, he will teach everyone individually personally. Important issues are solved individually.

The same can be said about school teachers and teachers in universities and colleges. Their task is first of all to convey to the student his subject, to state competently, then to check knowledge. But in the case of preparation for the Olympics, serious competitions, the teacher can be called a mentor.

How to become a mentor?

To become a mentor in production, no talent is needed. Even ordinary workers can become them. The main thing is to show the technical process, the documentation and give advice on how to distribute the working day. More serious with mentoring can be where you need to train an intern for complex work. It's important to explain everything, to show it. For example, an experienced electric train driver should teach his pupil everything, so that he not only understands the theory, but also in practice. From the mentoring and discipleship in this case depends the fate of people. Believe that it is the teacher - this is a mentor, not quite right. The teacher studied his profession in a profile educational institution, and the mentor is just an experienced person.

Do you need talent?

Speaking from a spiritual point of view, the talent of mentoring is mandatory. When a person does not have a kind heart, he does not need to be someone "guiding star". A mentor is an assistant, a friend, an adviser.

Jesus Christ and the apostles taught people the right way. They were not only teachers, but also mentors. That people could live a life worthy, truly happy and reach eternal joy, they need someone who teaches correct behavior. Hence, mentoring began in Christianity.

You can say that the coach-mentor, too, in a sense spiritually helps to strengthen the athletes. A healthy spirit and strong will help to reach unprecedented heights.

Any person who sincerely wants to help, give useful advice, console in trouble, teach kindness and mercy, is a mentor, educator.
