This is due to the high activity of the components of the drug against many bacteria and fungi. Although many new antiseptics have appeared recently, but practice shows that "Yodopirone" is much more effective than most of them.

What is this drug?

"Yodopirone" is a combination of povidone-iodine and potassium iodide. These substances have the same activity with respect to microorganisms, but less irritate the skin than free iodine. That is why so often in the treatment of wounds and the treatment of infectious and inflammatory processes, "Iodopyron" is used. Instructions for use recommend treating the skin and mucous membranes. The effectiveness of the drug is due to the fact that most microorganisms can not adapt to the action of iodine and die on contact with it. Therefore, "Yodopirone" is considered to be the best antiseptic in case of infection with staphylococcus, proteus, E. coli, some fungi and other antibiotic-resistant microorganisms. Produced in several forms:

Lubricate the surface with a solution or spray with aerosol and leave the medicine until completely dry. Usually the drug is applied 1-2 times a day. For preoperative treatment, use a solution with a concentration of 0.1 to 1%. To treat extensive burns, a bath with a dilution of 1:50 is prepared. A solution of powder must be prepared before use. When treating purulent wounds, they put cotton swabs moistened in a solution or "Yodopiron" ointment. Instructions for use do not recommend the use of the preparation in the form of an ointment for the treatment of mucous membranes. You can not also combine the application of "Yodopiron" with other medicines, especially essential oils and lithium preparations.

Reviews about the drug

Many people note that the drug has helped well in the healing of wounds and postoperative sutures. But patients believe that the solution has a high price - an average of 250 to 350 rubles per 100 ml. A little cheaper than "Yodopirone", analogues of the drug. The same composition and action is possessed by "Povidone-iodine", "Iodinol", "Suliodopirone" and "Suljodovizol". But most doctors still prefer "Yodopirone". It is considered the most effective and convenient to use. This is also noted by the people who used the drug. Many constantly have in the home medicine cabinet "Iodopyron." The price is quite high, but in emergency cases, there is no better medicine to protect against infections and prevent suppuration.
