World Environment Day is an important holiday

There are national holidays, but there are world holidays. World Environment Day refers to the second. In 1972, the conference in Stockholm discussed the issues of ecology. The main task of the participants was the awakening of people's desire to participate in the protection of natural ecosystems. The reason for this was the appeal of numerous cultural figures to the UN Secretary-General.

The conference resulted in purposeful actions to reduce pollution of nature, as well as the establishment of the holiday in question. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year.
