Wood house made of birch wood

More and more people are choosing houses made of natural pure material and at the same time meeting modern requirements of comfort. In the real estate market, there are ready lumber houses intended for sale. But you can go another way - to organize a new construction. This can be achieved by resorting to the help of specialized organizations, or if you build it yourself.

Whatever it was, during construction First of all it is necessary to clarify the forms of the future dwelling taking into account its functionality: useful internal area, perimeter dimensions, number of floors, purpose of the house (summer cottage, house), number of rooms, their style. The project of the house can be bought or executed by yourself, but, in principle, it is possible to do without drawings at all. The main thing is not to practice too much in the complexity of geometric forms, since this house must also be built.

Starting from the finished project, it is necessary to do the foundation work. Usually a timber house is based on a tape monolithic foundation, but it can also be a columnar type. They are most preferred for small buildings. It is important to comply with strict building codes. The most optimal variant of the base of the house is a band-type, shallow-recessed type, it is capable of providing a solid platform.

The first crown from the dry construction timber is laid on the foundation, and the corners are joined by the "vpolderov" method, when the joining of the two beams occurs at a right angle by cutting the ledge to the middle of the board. With the further laying of the crowns, the timber house is assembled using the "spike in the groove" method: each crown has specific fixings in the form of nagels and corresponding holes to them. This prevents the likely exit of the beam to the side when the material dries.

In the process of their assembly, the timber timber houses are caulked with a seal between each crown. For this purpose, it is possible to use a patch, dry forest moss, but it is also possible to use more modern materials: jute, lnovatin, etc. Sanitary norms prohibit the placement between beams of all kinds of sealants, chemical mounting foam, synthetic mineral wool.

The most important elements, of which the timber house consists, are door and window apertures. They do not do it directly when assembling the wall. To insert a window, a hole of the required size is cut in the wall. Then put the box there, while leaving a small space on top for possible shrinkage of the walls.

Now it's the turn to cover the structure. For the arrangement of braces and racks we need planks with dimensions of 100x40 mm, and the rafters are mounted with slightly larger beams: 150x40 mm with indentations of one meter. In the role of a lath, an unedged board 25 mm in size with an attachment pitch of 40 centimeters is suitable.

In a special finish the timber house does not need. However, if you wish, you can do so, but you should take into account the fact that it should begin 8-12 months after the end of construction work and the final shrinkage of wood material.
