In order to do it, you need wooden boards, a place for installation and the carpenter's initial skills.

First of all, let's define the place where the children's sandbox will be located. It is best to choose it where the shadow falls most. This is due to the fact that the child spends quite a long time playing, and the sun is peculiar to bake the head, so avoid direct rays. Trees in this case absolutely will not do. Firstly, the roots can hang too high from under the ground, secondly, the fall of branches and leaves, and thirdly, birds can interfere. Also it is worth remembering that the sandbox should be easily seen from all angles, whether you are at home or on the street.

Now you need to think about the dimensions. The sandbox with its own hands of ideal size is a square 2x2. It can not only fit your favorite child and a lot of his toys, but also neighbor's friends. The height should be selected based on the growth of the baby and the volume of sand. In most cases, it ranges from 30 cm to 40. At this height, the baby can quietly be able to throw legs.

When choosing boards for construction, you need to ensure that they are smooth, so that the child is not injured. Another nuance is the impregnation that the children's sandbox needs. With your own hands, this can be done with the help of special tools that prevent the tree from deteriorating from various external factors.

Now proceed directly to the construction. In the selected area it is necessary to free all space from the grass, and also to remove the top layer of turf. This will help to make the surface more level and prevent the appearance of a large amount of grass. In order for the sandbox itself to turn out to be the most beautiful and stable, it is necessary to prepare its frame in advance. This will require four main boards and two auxiliary (they will play the role of benches). We fasten the first boards with the help of screws or nails, on top of two of them we fasten our benches, nailing them to the upper parts.

In the corners it is worth attaching wedges, which in the future need to be driven into the ground. Now we set the structure on its proper place and cover the bottom with a thick film. Next, it is necessary to fill in the sand, it is best if it is quarry and without stones.
