Conjunctivitis may be caused by trauma, viral or bacterial infection, and each of these cases requires a different treatment strategy.

Sometimes one eye becomes bigger than the other without visible signs of inflammation. In such cases, the ophthalmologist may have difficulty with the diagnosis and will need additional advice from a neurologist.

Why is one eye bigger than another in a small child?
