What to feed the chicken in the early days of his life

Before we tell what to feed the chicken, let's ask another question: "When do you start feeding it?" Strange as it may seem, there are still heated discussions on this subject with weighty arguments. "Strangely enough" - because nature itself gives a convincing answer. Look at how the chickens behave, which the quill hid. It takes only 4-6 hours from the moment of hatching - and they no longer just hobble after the chickens Her for a walk, but also learn to look for a fodder.

Now let's look at the statistics: the chickens that were provided with water and feed during the first 16 hours of life survive 20% better than the young, day or two who did not receive any food at all. Finally, the argument from biologists: in the first hours in the body of the chick, internal organs are actively developing, this process consumes most of the stored energy, which must be filled in with something ...

Having understood for myself all of the above, let's see how to feed the chicken. And, in fact, what can he find at the farmstead? "Dining room" with fresh grass, sand, insects and plant seeds. From this we will proceed.

The first two days of life of chickens are fed with chopped yolk of steep egg with the addition of a small amount of semolina so that it does not stick together. You can also add a well-ground chopped chives and eggshell, peeled from the film. To stabilize the digestion and colonization of the intestine microflora is useful fresh kefir (you can take a low-fat yogurt). Only chickens do not know how to peck liquid, they will have to drink from a syringe or a pipette. These two days are the most difficult: feed the chickens every two hours, including at night.

The next three days the diet is almost unchanged, except that the yolk can already be given along with the protein, and yogurt and pure boiled water are given in waterers (necessarily separate).
Then in the diet we begin to increase the proportion of greenery and at the same time reduce the share of kefir. To chive onions, you need to add alfalfa and clover. And let the yogurt be so: soak in it a little stale white bread, squeeze, crumble and pour into the feeder. In the diet should also appear low-fat meat broth and fish oil at a rate of 0.2 g per day per head. It is important, than to feed the chicken, in addition to organic, Sifted sand (for the prevention of gastric disorders) with mineral bait: crushed eggshells, shells, wood ash. You can feed less often - every 3-4 hours.

By this time, in principle, it will already be clear what to feed the 10-day chickens. If they are almost deprived of exercise, add additional vitamins to the arsenal of disease prevention, and twice a week - with a very weak aqueous solution of potassium permanganate. From night feeding you can already refuse.
Now consider the question of what to feed the weekly broiler chickens. Here the technique and diet are somewhat different.

The ration of the first three days of life: croup or small-crushed corn, wheat, barley, peeled from films, as well as a mixture of wheat bran and well-ground steep eggs without shell or cottage cheese. It is given every 2 hours. Then they are fed with dry mixtures, based on concentrated feeds with additives (every 3-4 hours), and wet mash-blends (soft food, 2-3 times a day). Beginning with the fifth day, broilers are given fish oil daily.

Finely chopped peas, clover, nettle, alfalfa, dandelion, soy leaves - that's what to feed the chicken-broiler necessarily in the summer, starting from the 3rd day of life. From 5-day-old age, the diet is replenished with herbal flour and sprouted grain, and from 6-day-old, red carrots and a yellow pumpkin are added to the mix. In addition, broilers are fed with mineral supplements: chopped chalk, shells, bone meal, and from 10-day age - gravel.
