Ceramic brick is most often used for laying foundations, building partitions, bearing walls, single and multi-storey buildings. They are filled with voids in concrete-monolithic structures. Also from ceramic bricks lay household and industrial furnaces. Facing ceramic brick has such advantages as reliability, excellent appearance, impressive thickness. The walls of brick have a different texture and a wide variety of colors. It is used not only for the construction of new buildings, but also for restoration work. Silicate bricks are produced from water, air lime and quartz sand. It is treated at high pressure with saturated steam at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius. If the ceramic is painted by mixing different kinds of clay, then the silicate brick can be painted only with the help of special means, which have an artificial origin. The advantages of silica brick include the following:

One of the disadvantages of silica brick is low water resistance. This building material is not recommended for use when erecting a foundation that will be exposed to the constant effects of water. Also, do not use silicate brick for chimneys and stoves, as it does not withstand high temperatures.
