What is checked on the vehicle inspection?

Inspection is an obligatory process, and sooner or later it will have to pass. What is checked on the vehicle inspection, not all drivers know. The fact is that over the past few years vehicle inspection has been actively reformed. At the government level, important documents regulating the inspection are signed, the time is set aside for all procedures, the papers to be provided by the owners of commercial and passenger cars, and the frequency of the diagnostics are assigned.

- Diagnostic card in a new form (has 65 points). All of them must be checked during the inspection.

From the technical part of the components and assemblies, which are checked by technical experts, include:

1. The engine and all its systems.

2. The condition of the braking system.

3. Tires.

4. Glass cleaners, windshield washers.

5. Lighting devices.

6. Steering.

In addition to these six main nodes, the following are also subject to verification:

- armchairs and horns;

- rear view mirrors;

- number plates;

- Glass (for the presence of cracks in the windshield, etc.);

- safety belts and their correct work;

- emergency stop sign, etc.

The employees of the technical center are not authorized to check the components and components that the manufacturer did not have installed on the vehicle. In the case of an attempt by employees to check something that goes beyond their competence, the owner of vehicles has the right to challenge this by complaining to the Russian Union of Motor Insurers. They are involved in accreditation of such centers, maintain their registry, and also perform other functions.

In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to the fact that in a car during a vehicle inspection there must be:

- fire extinguisher of the established sample with a volume of not less than 2 liters;

- warning triangle.
