Having paid for itself with small financial and labor costs, it is possible to prepare a self-made work that will prove to be no worse than the development of famous manufacturers.

The works are performed in the following order:

1. To begin with, a form of a future board is executed from a plywood or light piece of wood. Cutting is worth a board size, which will be enough to accommodate the engine and the electric unit.
2. A small electric motor is prepared, which must have a decent power and high torque. An excellent solution will be installing the engine from radio-controlled vehicles. Also it is necessary to find a small, light lithium battery, several batteries with a capacity of 500 mA / h, connected in parallel.
3. Interaction of the motor with the wheels is built. For this, a pinion with 5 and 36 teeth is installed on the axis and the engine, respectively. The connection of these elements occurs through the belt.
4. The next stage is the installation of the motor on the bottom of the product. It does not matter what fastener is used for this. The main thing is to keep the engine firmly on the board. To protect the battery pack, remote controller receiver and motor from damage, a durable and well-ventilated enclosure must be built. It is best to use a metal grid for this purpose, having previously calculated the location of all the functional elements of the future skateboard.

Based on the above plan of action, you can collect a pretty decent board with an electric drive. Most likely, self-made skate will be much heavier than factory models. But the assembly by yourself will save a fairly substantial sum of money. In the future, such a skateboard can be upgraded.
