How to make a hood in the apartment, which model to choose?

There are several models of modern air purification systems in the kitchen. They can be divided into several categories on different grounds.

According to the principle of action :

1. With the function of air purification. It works by the following principle: it draws in itself the air that circulates above the plate through the filter, returning already purified air back. The main advantage of this model is the maximum protection from the formation of soot. The drawback of this extract is that it does not fight odors.
2. With ventilation system. In this model, the air that circulates above the plate is drawn into the interior of the hood, and then it is removed with a special ventilation system located in the nearest hole. Also used air vent. Before you buy a kitchen hood of this type, you need to study the performance of the ventilation system of the apartment. In case it is rather weak, it is better to take a closer look at other models. Otherwise, it will be necessary to make ventilation out to the street, and this is a rather complicated and expensive procedure.

In the form of models:

1. Flat. The principle of their work is to recirculate air, and the exhaust system is additionally included grease filters: metal, carbon (these filters must be changed every six months) or disposable. Also, one or two low-power motors are often included in the flat-hood set.
2. The dome. The peculiarity of this model, which distinguishes it from the others, is the shape of the dome, respectively, and the drawer box in the future will have to be selected with the utmost care. The principle of operation of such exhaust systems, as a rule, is ventilation. Their assortment is quite wide: in the market there are models of various sizes and shapes.
3. Built-in hoods.

In order to determine the size of the hood, you need to measure the dimensions of the stove. The basic rule is: the greater the width of the hood that is planned to be purchased, the higher it will need to be installed above the stove. It is recommended to install a box for drawing 70 centimeters above the electric plate and 80 centimeters above the gas.

As for the width of the hood, in any case it should be wider than the plate. Do not be afraid of the fact that the hood for the hood will look cumbersome and too massive: you can choose a design that will look quite aesthetically in your interior.

Now the design options for hoods are not limited to rectangular shapes. There are globular, conical, pyramidal hoods, as well as other models with non-standard shapes.
