Childhood and young years

Yumashev Valentin Borisovich was born in December 1957 in Perm. Until 1971 he lived in his native city and studied at a local school. Then he moved with his parents to his permanent residence in the Moscow region.

In 1976, after graduation, was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army, where he served, as expected, for two years. After the termination of service in 1978 Valentin Yumashev entered the journalistic faculty, but studied in absentia, as at the same time he began to work as an intern in the publication of the Moscow Komsomolets. A year later he moved to work in a more replicable newspaper - Komsomolskaya Pravda. In this newspaper he kept a page for teenagers "Scarlet Sail".

It was in those years, when studying at the university, he met his future wife Irina Vedeneeva. Soon after the wedding they had a daughter, Polina. At one time Valentin Yumashev was even attributed possession of half of the business center "CITY" and the same part of the tower "Empire". But Yumashev himself denied this fact, which after some time confirmed an independent journalistic investigation. As it turned out, the owner of assets attributed to Yumashev was the husband of his relative, who was a real and not a fictitious businessman.

But after that, Valentin Yumashev remained a target for the press. His state was constantly discussed in the pages of newspapers and magazines, various figures were called, which, incidentally, had a weak relation to reality.

In 2000, Valentin Borisovich became one of the founders of the Boris Yeltsin Foundation, whose goal is charity and support of young talents. Along with Yumashev, such famous personalities as Alexander Voloshin, Tatyana Dyachenko, Viktor Chernomyrdin and Anatoly Chubais became co-founders of the fund.

Marriage of Tatyana Dyachenko

In 2002, Valentin Yumashev and the daughter of ex-President Boris Yeltsin, Tatyana Borisovna Dyachenko, were married. By that time, each of them had two marriages: Yumashev had an official and a civil marriage, and Dyachenko had both official ones. In addition, in previous marriages, the spouses had children: Valentin Borisovich had a daughter, Polina, Tatiana had sons Boris and Gleb.

Relations between Valentin Yumashev and Tatyana Dyachenko experienced different phases from the time of their acquaintance. At first these were purely business relations, which over time grew into a close friendship. Later, as the feelings cooled between Tatyana and her husband, the big businessman Alexei Dyachenko, they became even closer with Yumashev.

In the end, after the marriage of Tatiana and Alexei Dyachenko actually disintegrated, Valentin Yumashev offered the ex-president's daughter to marry him. Tatyana agreed. After that, the bride and groom had to speed up their divorce proceedings, because at that time both officially had spouses.

Future life

Valentin and Tatyana Yumashevy concentrated all their further activities on the development of the Boris Yeltsin Foundation.

In 2007, Boris Nikolayevich died of heart disease. Naturally, this was a tragedy for the wife of Valentin Yumashev, but he tried to support it as best he could. Together with his wife, he attended the funeral of the ex-president, who, besides being a father-in-law, had a very great influence on Valentin's fate, was a close person to him.

In 2009, Valentin and Tatyana Yumashev, as well as their common daughter Maria, accepted Austrian citizenship. But they also remained citizens of Russia. It is rumored that it was possible to obtain Austrian citizenship in a rather short time due to the petition of Gunther Alpfajter, who is the head of the concern Magna STEYR.

In 2013 the couple Yumashevy moved to permanent residence in Austria, but nevertheless often comes to Russia, and also takes an active part in the activities of the Boris Yeltsin Foundation. In particular, in late 2015, was opened "Yeltsin Center" - the largest museum of the 90's.

In the first half of the 90s, Valentin Yumashev was involved in an accident that occurred as a result of violation of traffic rules by the third secretary of the DPRK embassy. As a result of the accident there were victims with a fatal outcome.

Journalist Mikhail Poltoranin in his book, released in 2010, claims that while in the circle of close associates of Boris Yeltsin, Yumashev took part in the discussion of the possibility of physically eliminating the oppositionist Lev Rokhlin. However, there is no direct evidence for this.
