Unemployment benefit

Today, the problem of unemployment is one of the most pressing problems on the planet. Many countries pay great attention to this issue.

After all, unemployment leads to quite severe consequences in any country: crime increases, production decreases, people suffer a severe psychological trauma.

For the first time the concept of "unemployment benefit" in our country was introduced in the early 20-ies of the twentieth century, even in the USSR. Then, already in Stalin's time, it was not appointed any more, since it was believed that there was no such problem in the country.

And only since 1991 in Russia, at the time when a multistructure system operating under economic relations began to take shape, the unemployment benefit was again restored. What is meant by this concept, how and to whom is it paid?

The unemployment benefit is a monetary payment to those citizens who are recognized by the state as unemployed in accordance with the established procedure. It is calculated from the first day, as a citizen was declared non-working.

If a person was fired from the organization in which he worked, with a reduction in staff or the organization itself was abolished, and while he could not find a job, then he was entitled to this allowance. At the same time, a citizen must be registered with the relevant employment service and is really recognized as unemployed. However, it is very important to know that payments are not made for the entire period of the unemployed citizen: the amount and period of receiving benefits may vary depending on the period during which the person receives it.

For example, the period of benefit payment can not be longer than 12 months, and inconsistently one after another. If, however, the citizen does not find a job at the end of the first pay period, then the unemployment benefit may begin to be repaid to him.

The total period during which an unemployed person can receive benefits: two years or 12 months, which can be scattered for 36 calendar months. At the same time, payments are made monthly, but for this you need a mandatory condition: a citizen must regularly re-register, as an unemployed person, in the employment service. The frequency of registration is established by the paying organization itself - not more often than twice a month.

Unemployment benefits, the amount of which is set annually by the Government of the Russian Federation, is due to many factors: for example, the length of service, the reason for the termination of the employment agreement, and also whether the citizen worked before.

Determine what kind of unemployment benefit a person will receive, should the district or regional employment service.

To date, there are two types of benefits - special and general, the sizes of which are different from each other.

If a person has become unemployed for reasons other than those specified by law, his unemployment benefit is calculated approximately like this: for the first three months he will receive 75% of the amount of his average monthly earnings he received the last three months in his last job, then for four months This amount will be reduced to 60%, and the remaining months - to 45%. The amount that a citizen will receive must be at least and not more than the minimum allowance, while increased by the district coefficient. It is important to know that the amount of the allowance of each citizen is calculated only on the basis of his official salary.

Some categories of unemployed are eligible for benefits calculated as special cases. These include those citizens who had never worked anywhere before, are looking for work after a sufficient break, were dismissed for disciplinary violations, were sent by the district employment service to study a specialty, but were expelled from there. Such people receive an unemployment benefit equivalent to the minimum amount of payments multiplied by the coefficient of the given area.
