Compensation is an opportunity to return something

Often people have to lose something in life. It can be anything: native people, favorite things, time, money, authority and much more. Most of the loss can not be returned, but you can try to replace it with any benefit that can alleviate the pain of loss. Such a replacement is called compensation.

Types of possible compensation

In fact, compensation is a kind of opportunity to get back the lost, only in a different capacity. The benefit may not be quite equivalent. But "at least something" is better than "nothing." All known compensations can be conditionally divided into four types:

  1. Positive compensation is a reward that a person receives in return for something lost or lost. It must be something pleasant and positive. Only in this case a person can agree to it. In addition, the reward must necessarily correspond to his interests and desires.
  2. Negative compensation is a negative reaction to certain actions and actions. It consists in the fact that a certain behavior of a person can immediately cause a reaction of protest of the entire collective or leadership in particular. As a result, a person who commits a negative action will know that a negative reaction will necessarily follow.
  3. Specific punishment. In this situation, in a production environment, management makes it clear to the employee how not to behave. Otherwise, the undesirable action will have its specific consequences.
  4. Exclusive compensation is the ability to extinguish unwanted actions in the manner in which a particular employee behaves. For example, a person from school was used to demonstratively display his superior knowledge and express personal opinion on any occasion. In the conditions of the educational process, teachers were positive about this. But in the work collective such people are not welcome. It is not without reason that the most thankless task is to give advice where they are not asked. To reason with such an employee, you can simply not respond to his words. Lack of approval will play the role of a brake and will force a person to keep their opinion to themselves more often.

Money refund

In some cases, the employer needs workers, but can not provide them with everything necessary. In this situation, the employee will have additional unplanned costs, which the company must return. Reimbursement is usually made in cash, and the amount is fully or partially consistent with the costs incurred. This form of return was called "monetary compensation". For example, an organization hired an employee to work in another city. After moving he will need to live somewhere. However, the tenant can not provide him with a separate apartment or place in the hostel, and the employee himself is not in a position to buy it. In this case, he will be forced to rent or rent housing. But such costs require significant funds. Therefore, the enterprise assumes the obligation to pay him compensation for forced renting of a dwelling. Monetary funds are paid monthly in the amount provided for by the legislation of the country. In turn, the employee must provide the company management with a copy of the contract of employment to confirm the costs.

Leave in cash

In accordance with the labor legislation of the country, every employee has the right to a well-deserved vacation. Article 115 of the LC RF provides for the duration of the basic leave in the amount of 28 calendar days. In addition, various additional holidays are established, which are provided in excess of the statutory amount. As a result, the annual rest time increases, and the worker can maximize his strength for subsequent work. Calculation of the duration is carried out without taking into account non-working and weekend days, and the amount is determined based on average earnings. There are cases when an employee asks permission before starting work or does not leave his job without using his right to leave. In this situation, the enterprise has the right to reimburse it for rest days in monetary terms. Compensation for unused vacation in 2013 practically does not differ from the previous 2012. The employee on a written application can receive compensation for all the days of over twenty-eight, established by the state. In fact, it turns out that the money can only be repaid by an additional vacation. At dismissal the person receives indemnification on last day of work together with final settlement. Otherwise, the payment of the amount of money is made on the basis of an agreement with the employer.
