Two-pipe heating system

Today, people do not need to think about how to get heat for their home and by what kind of scheme the heating is done in this house: on a single-pipe system or in a building a two-pipe heating system is installed. In the spring or in the summer, the city apartments are well warmed up by solar heat. Only in the autumn-winter period, when suddenly turn off the central heating, we dream of a fireplace or at least an oven.

Naturally, the main source of energy and heat is sunlight. In ancient times people learned to obtain fire and use it for their own purposes, which undoubtedly became a huge breakthrough in the evolution of mankind. The active use of fire in everyday life has significantly changed the lives of people, has become a different food, there has been protection against predation attacks, coverage of the home, warmth in it.

Everyone knows how great it is to come after work in his cozy, warm home late on a cold evening. Modern heating systems are fairly simple to use, often they are automated and equipped with adjustment valves. A stove, a heating boiler, a radiator, a convector, a fireplace, a heat gun - all these are modern heating appliances. They use different types of fuel: wood, coal, natural gas, diesel fuel and electric current.

If we consider single-tube and two-pipe heating systems, they usually use various control devices, such as, for example, radiator connection points.

Two-pipe heating system has many advantages - a uniform distribution of the heat carrier and the possibility of the most accurate regulation of heating units, depending on the requirements for the particular room.

Two-tube, as well as single-tube systems can be made in horizontal and vertical versions.

Single-pipe systems operate according to the following scheme: one of the pipes supplies the heat carrier from the boiler to the top of the house, and the other pipe supplies the coolant to the system of batteries connected in series. This heating system has a significant drawback - it does not allow you to control the temperature, so the water on the first floors of the building is no longer as hot as it could be with a two-pipe system.

When a two-pipe heating system is installed in the house - the heat in the riser is fed and subsequently distributed evenly. Steam, gas, liquid - the temperature of any of these coolants remains the same in the two-pipe system. The two-pipe heating system of a private house differs from a single-tube system also by the way of connecting radiators to it. To the heating network with this system, the radiators are connected exclusively in parallel.

The main advantage of connecting a parallel type with a two-pipe heating system is that the heated coolant flows from the boiler to all heating devices evenly, and not along a chain. The regulation of this system is quite simple, since the temperature here is constant. This is possible due to the following principle of operation: from the collector to each individual radiator in the system, the coolant enters the delivery pipe, and leaves the radiator along the discharge pipe.

However, the two-pipe heating system has its drawbacks. The main disadvantage of this device is the need to lay a much larger number of metal-plastic pipes in the system.

In addition to the conventional two-pipe system, which has an overhead wiring, there is a two-pipe heating system with a lower wiring. Their difference is that at lower wiring the supply pipe is usually laid from the bottom, practically together with the reverse one. Passing through the system of heating appliances, the risers and return piping water enters the return line, and already from it enters the boiler. Heating systems having a lower wiring as well as systems with an upper wiring can be designed with a by-pass and dead-end coolant flow and with one or several circuits.
