Tszyu Konstantin: boxer's biography

Konstantin Tszyu (photo below) - a famous Australian-Russian boxer, who has many awards and titles. In 1991 he was awarded the title of Master of Sports. Ex-world champion in several boxing federations.

Childhood

Tszyu Konstantin was born in the city of Serov in 1969. His name is translated from Korean as Krasnov. Although their genus was a pure Korean, only a great-grandfather who came to Russia from China. And grandfather no longer knew a single word in Korean.

The parents of the future boxer belonged to the category of the most ordinary people and had no relation to sports. My mother worked in the field of medicine, and my father worked all his life at metallurgical enterprises.

Kostya himself was always very active and active. Energy just boiled in the child. With the goal of directing it to a fruitful channel, the father took the boy to the boxing section in 1979. And this choice turned out to be correct.

Already after six months, ten-year-old boxer Konstantin Tszyu easily defeated the guys much older than him. Two years later they were interested in coaches from the junior USSR national team.

Carier start

So Tszyu Constantine and began his professional career. He won a number of international and regional competitions. Also, Kostya successfully played in tournaments. In 1985 he received the junior title of USSR champion.

In 1989, Tszyu began to achieve success already in the adult category. He won the championship belt and triumphantly won the European championship. Then followed another series of significant victories. In the same year, Kostya took third place in the Moscow boxing championship in the category of up to 60 kilograms.

In 1990-1991, the talented sportsman twice won the title of champion of the USSR. He also participated in several international competitions, winning several gold medals for the country, including at the Goodwill Games.

The athlete's success at international competitions attracted the attention of foreign coaches. One of them was Johnny Lewis from Australia. It was he who convinced Constantine to move to his permanent residence in his country. After a while, Tszyu offered official citizenship, which he accepted with pleasure. After that, the athlete began to travel to exhibition confrontations, held in different parts of the world.

For his professional career, Konstantin managed to become the strongest boxer in the world in his own weight category. From time to time he defeated such celebrities as Juda Zab, Jesse Leiha, Haun Laporte, Cesar Chavez and others. These victories allowed him to win fame in the boxing world. Kostya became a star not only in Australia, but also in Russia.

Over the course of his career, he spent 282 bouts, losing only 12 times. This is a very impressive indicator. For this achievement in 2011, Tszyu was included in the Hall of Fighting Glory. It is noteworthy that on the same day it included the actor Sylvester Stallone and the champion of Mexico - Cesar Chavez (our athlete defeated him in one of the championship fights).

After Boxing

After the end of his career, Tszyu Constantine began to train young athletes. For his wards, he developed his own scheme of classes, which allows him to effectively confront different rivals. The most famous disciples of Constantine are Allahverdiyev, Povetkin, Lebedev. Also Tszyu holds seminars and master classes for boxers. With his own money, he opened several schools in Russia to popularize sports.

In 2010, Tszyu Konstantin became the head of the electronic edition of "Veit Magazin", which covers various martial arts. So revealed another talent of the former boxer. He is also a frequent guest of various TV shows - "Dancing with the Stars", "Being the First", etc.

At the moment, the athlete works as a coach and publishes his own product. In late 2013, some media reported that the boxer began to write an autobiography. But this information is still unconfirmed.

Personal life

Konstantin Tszyu, whose biography is described above, was married for twenty years. The first wife of the boxer was Natalia. As the official sources say, in this marriage, the spouses have three children who, following the example of their father, connected their lives with sports. After the divorce, the boxer said that he did not get on with his wife for the last twelve years. In fact, all this time they did not live together.

Now Tszyu has a new girlfriend - Tatiana. A happy couple is not in a hurry to register a relationship. When asked about the desire to have more children, the athlete responds evasively, so everything is possible.
