Toyota Cynos - an excellent youth model

The well-known automobile company Toyota actively develops one of its directions - the release of single-platform vehicles, which are intended for a broad target audience. These machines appear on the markets of different countries. One of these models is the Toyota Cynos.

In the 90's, the company's specialists decided to completely take off the Corolla car in the modification of the two-door coupe. Indeed, this model required replacement. Therefore, designers have developed a new product for car enthusiasts - Toyota Cynos. At the same time, the platform was borrowed from the Tercel model. It was only slightly lengthened to give more comfort to both the driver and his passengers.

The first generation of Cynos was released in 1991. True, this name is known only in Asian markets. In other countries, the car was sold, like Toyota Paseo. The first generation model had the following characteristics:

• The car was equipped with a gasoline engine.
• The volume of the engine is 1.5 liters.
• There were cars with a manual or automatic transmission (optional).

The second generation of Toyota Cynos was released in 1995. The vehicle was sold in three variants, which differed only in external details and some technical parameters. In 1997, the delivery of the model to other countries ceased. A few years later, the concern Toyota completely removed it from production. So far this successor does not have a successor.

Appearance

The latest modification of the Toyota Cynos was produced in the form of a coupe and a cabriolet. The developers wanted to give the car a sporty appearance. Therefore, the front of the model has an aggressive look: relief lines, a hood in the form of a kind of cone, a solid shield protecting the radiator, the main narrow headlights, fog lights hidden in niches. The main feature of the model is the presence of a built-in trunk spoiler. On it an additional stoplight is installed. The convertible had a folding roof made of soft material. At the same time, a heated glass was installed behind it.

Technical equipment

The second generation Toyota Cynos engine had 2 modifications:

1. Petrol with a volume of 1.3 liters. He had a small capacity - 85 liters. from.
2. Gasoline volume of 1.5 liters. Power - 110 liters. from.

Whatever motor was installed in the car, it worked paired with a manual or automatic transmission. Today Toyota Cynos is present in the Russian car market. However, such vehicles are becoming less and less. After all, car enthusiasts switch to new, modern cars, sending this model, which is no longer produced, to auto parts or scrap. Although, this car at one time was very popular with young people, because it is inexpensive, it looks attractive and very compact.
