Third Fatima prophecy: truth and fiction

The Fatima prophecy has been arguing for almost a century, both among theologians and worldly scholars. In fact, this is not one prediction, but three. Two of them became known almost immediately after the Fatima miracle happened. The last, most important, Catholic church has been kept secret for more than half a century. His content was published only in 2000. Around him, immediately there was a new debate. Someone completely believed in the honesty of the Catholic leadership, someone decided that the church concealed the real text of the prophecy or did not disclose it completely. However, to begin with, let us recall what exactly happened and who announced these predictions.

The Fatima prophecy was made by a little girl, a resident of the Portuguese village of Cova de Iriya, located near the city of Fatima in 1917. She received it, she said, from the lips of the Mother of God herself. On May thirteenth, three children-a boy and two girls, pasturing cattle in the vicinity of the city-saw a strange, beautiful and very young woman in white robes and beads in her hands next to an oak tree. It was very unusual, and so Lucia asked the shining lady where she came from. In response, the woman told the child that she descended from heaven. With childish immediacy, Lucia asked why. In response, the lady asked the children to come under this oak every thirteenth and promised that she would tell about who she was and what she needed, in October.

Thus began the story that led to the obtaining of a prediction, which is known as the "Fatim prophecy." The next day, that the children saw the Mother of God, it became known to the whole village. On June 13, near the oak, a huge number of people gathered. The Blessed Virgin appeared to the children several times on the 13th, although no one else saw it. She only talked with Lucia. During the conversation, this girl received all three predictions.

The first Fatima prophecy was about the imminent end of the world war. The second one concerned Russia. The Blessed Virgin predicted a future revolution, a victory in World War II and persecution of the church. The last prophecy - the third one - was made in October. Perhaps this case would remain unknown to anyone, if there was not a miracle happened, which was seen by all present spectators in the amount of about one hundred thousand people.

As soon as Lucia received the third Fatima prophecy, something very strange happened in the sky. The sun suddenly turned pale, and its rays became rosy. After that, it moved from its place and flew a stone to the ground. All who watched this, fell on their knees for fear. The church recognized the case as genuine and confirmed that the children saw the Mother of God. In 1957, Lucia gave the pope in a sealed envelope the text of the third prophecy she had received. At the same time, she insisted that it was not promulgated before 1960. In 59, several priests opened an envelope to prepare a prediction for publication. However, after reading its contents, the church representatives decided to keep it a secret.

It was published only after the lapse of 83 years after the Fatima miracle happened. The third prophecy contained a description of the vision that appeared before the eyes of the children in October 1917. According to Lucia, they watched a procession of priests and believers climbing a mountain with a cross on top. On the way, the pope and the ministers of the church passed the city, in which there were many corpses. As soon as the procession ascended the mountain, soldiers appeared who shot holy people.

The Church interpreted this as a prediction of an attempt on the assassination of Pope John II, which happened, oddly enough, on May 13, but in 1981. However, many researchers doubt that such an important prophecy could only concern the one and only church. On the veil of secrecy that hung over him for more than half a century, it could be judged that there is as much as a prediction of the end of the world or something like that.

However, the whole truth about the true content of this prophecy is known only to the priests. Lucia died in 2005, and she did not reveal this secret to anyone. Her brother and sister left the world as children.

Whether the church told the truth or lied is unknown to anyone. The prophecy is published. And to treat it in its own way is free to everyone.
