History

The Theater for Young Spectators opened in St. Petersburg in 1922. It was founded by Alexander Aleksandrovich Bryantsev. His name is the theater today. Alexander Alexandrovich directed the theater for four decades. A. Bryantsev created a theater that would be interesting for young children, adolescents and young people. This principle remains so far.

In Leningrad, the theater returned in the summer of 1944.

In the building on the Pioneer Square the theater moved in 1962.

The name of AA Bryantsev was added to the Youth Theater in 1980.

"Rainbow"

Theater for Young People in St. Petersburg Is the organizer of various projects, including several festivals. One of them is called "Rainbow". It is held every year.
