From Moscow history

It happened when the start-up section of the southern radius of the Kaluga-Riga line from the Oktyabrskaya station was put into operation. We should pay tribute to the authors of the station "New Cheryomushki" for the fact that under the conditions of a typical project they were able to give their creativity certain features of expressiveness. This is mainly due to the balance of the decorative design. Two rows of columns are finished with light marble of yellow color scale. In the same key is a granite floor covering, which is favorably accented by reddish plates along the axis of the room. The road walls are decorated with wide red stripes, directed along the direction of the trains. The metro station "Novye Cheryomushki" has no transitions to other stations and ground vestibules.
