The habits of pets: why the cat hisses
Cats admire their independence and beauty. They are favorite animals of most people. And although these amazing creatures are nice and know how to caress like no other, sometimes their behavior is surprising.
Why does the cat hiss?
What does the pet want to say when meows? Or when the cat looks in your eyes? And if the cat hisses or sharpens the claws about expensive furniture?
Based on the unfriendly kind of sizzling cat, it's easy to understand that the animal thus manifests discontent. There can be several explanations for this behavior. An animal will never fizzle for no reason, without a good reason.
- Gets rid of excessive attention - a person or another cat;
- Protects its territory from other animals;
- Defends with the goal of self-defense;
- Does not want to share prey;
- Protects, experiencing for posterity.
Separation of territory
The dog is attached to the owner, showing boundless devotion. But cats get used to the habitat. Because they carefully guard their territory. Thus cats mark all corners of the nearest district. And cats can sizzle at an uninvited guest, even if it exceeds them by several times. Because often you can see how the cat hisses on a dog or other animal. However, if this is the territory where the dog is usually located, the cat will not hiss on it, but on the contrary, it can rub against its legs, maintaining a friendly alliance with a stronger beast.
Behavior of pets
Defending their offspring, the cat protects small kittens until they are sure of safety for them. For the same reason, pregnant cats can also fizzle.
If a new cat appears in the house, acquaintance and division of the territory takes place for a while. This can be manifested only in a slight hiss, and sometimes in more aggressive variants. In any case, cats need time to get used to each other. When this happens, they can become good friends.
If a cat often attacks people by biting the legs or hands, and then runs away, it just does not have enough gaming activity. This is the case with pets that do not have the ability to hunt.
Did the cat proclaim itself the main thing?
In cases where the cat hisses at the host, the main role is played by the character of the animal. Some cats are ready for any manifestations of affection from the owner and even will unquestioningly hang their heads down from strong children's embraces. Others are wary and discontented about any easy stroking, being too independent.
And yes, the cat, in fact, considers itself the main thing. He thinks that he is obliged to give all the yummies from the refrigerator. Coming to the owner on the bed to sleep, the cat renders that great honor. And often he prefers to come himself. And if a person puts the cat to bed, she suddenly has completely different plans. If only it was against the will of the landlord. After all, cats are terribly independent and prefer to decide for themselves, showing in most cases disobedience. But it still depends on the breed and the nature of the animal.
Methods of combating feline aggression
In order not to suffer from an aggressively tuned cat, it is necessary to try to distract him. Some cat breeds switch to food. A possible solution in some cases will be ignoring the cat. And when he calms down, try to solve his problem - proving that the guest, another animal or toy is not as scary as it seemed to him.
To avoid cat fights, use water spray or loud sounds. The effect of surprise works well on the animals preparing for the fight. And they completely switch their attention to an extraneous factor. But trying to separate cats by hands is strictly forbidden. During the fight, animals do not distinguish who is in front of them - the enemy or the beloved host. Because you can suffer from the claws of the animal.
