The eco-car broke the speed record in the UK

The British speed record for a regular bus has recently been beaten by an environmental bus that drives cow-dung. He was able to develop a speed of one hundred and twenty-three kilometers per hour on the road in Bedfordshire, it was officially confirmed by state control. Thus, the record was broken.

Unusual bus

Covered in a black and white pattern, reminiscent of the color of cowhide, the bus is called "Hound" and moves on biomethane, which produces anaerobic bacteria digesting cow dung. The bus engine is a kind of bioreactor, in which several containers with compressed and liquefied manure are used. This is an unusual, but very effective fuel. Why manure? Lead project engineer John Bickerton says that the goal was to create transport on renewable resources and to destroy stereotypes about buses as loud and slow means of transportation. The new model demonstrates impressive power. For the UK, its speed is really high. To get a world record, entered in the Guinness Book, the bus will need to reach a speed of two hundred and forty-one kilometers per hour.
