The drug "Diuver" (the instruction on which application contains information on the main directions of the drug's action) is now quite often used both by the patients themselves and by doctors.
The active ingredient of the drug is torasemide (an analogue of furosemide).
In what case is the drug "Diver" appointed?
Instructions for use indicate the following indications for the prescription of this medication: the presence of an edematous syndrome of any etiology (including the genesis of CHF, as well as pathology of the lungs, liver and kidneys). The effectiveness of the drug in the elimination of edema is proved by the studies conducted. In addition, with arterial hypertension is also shown the use of the drug "Diver." Tablets are quickly absorbed into the digestive tract, and half an hour after their administration, the expected effect begins to develop.
The list of contraindications to the use of this medication is as follows:

- Hypokalemia, as well as hyponatremia;
- Hepatic coma;

It is also worth noting that the drug "Diver" (instructions for the use of the drug is mandatory for study) is not recommended to appoint persons under the age of eighteen and women during pregnancy and lactation.
As you have noticed, the drug contains a huge number of contraindications, but this does not detract from its effectiveness in eliminating edema of different etiologies.
There is also a whole list of side effects that can develop with the use of the drug "Diver." Instructions for use describe each of them in detail. The most important: falling blood pressure, collapse, orthostatic hypotension, arrhythmia, oliguria, hematuria, hearing impairment (often reversible) and various skin manifestations (hives, itching). Such a number of various side effects requires mandatory monitoring of the patient's condition after the appointment of the remedy. However, side effects develop extremely rarely (especially severe forms), mainly the manifestation of such reactions is reduced to typical (headache, epigastric pain, and various skin manifestations of allergic genesis).
The dosage is prescribed by the attending physician, it is also prescribed in the instructions for the preparation "Diver". Description of dosage regimens is determined by the immediate cause, which led to the need to use the drug.
The medication begins with one tablet a day (5 mg of the drug) and then the dosage is increased to achieve the desired effect. The dose of the drug can be increased to 20 mg (and in some cases 40 mg) per day. With arterial hypertension, the initial dose of the drug is 2.5 milligrams once a day. In the case when this dosage is not enough, you can increase the dose to five milligrams.
Thus, the drug "Diower" is currently actively prescribed in the presence of edemas in the patient (problems with water balance in the body). Numerous contraindications are not a deterrent when prescribing a pharmaceutical preparation, but only cause the need for consultation with a specialist (self-medication is unacceptable) and medical control during treatment.
