The drug "Bactroban" is a medicine for topical application, which has a pronounced antimicrobial activity. The active ingredient is mupirocin, an antibiotic that has a wide range of effects. For mupirocin, the property of cross-resistance with other types of antibiotics is not characteristic. Absorption of mupirocin for external use is negligible. When applying the active ingredient to the affected areas of the skin, its penetration into the bloodstream intensifies. Upon entering the bloodstream, mupirocin is metabolized and monoic acid is formed. It is excreted by the kidneys.

The product is intended for topical use only. Before using it, you need to clean the nasal passages. The drug "Bactroban" - nasal ointment, put it in each turn of the nose, then do a little massage or press a little on the wings of the nose, so that it is better distributed. The medicine is produced in the form of an ointment nasal white or close to white in aluminum tubes of 3 grams. One tube is enclosed in a cardboard bundle. Keep the drug should not more than three years after the date of manufacture. Storage is provided in rooms where the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees. Do not freeze ointment.
