The death of Djatlov's group is a tragedy that became an intellectual hobby

The death of the Djatlov group is one of the most interesting mysteries of the 20th century. It is not an exaggeration to think that the study and investigation of the circumstances of this tragedy have become a kind of hobby, an intellectual sport for many people.

The history of the last tour of Igor Dyatlov

In January 1959, a group of Soviet students of the Ural Polytechnic Institute gathered in a hiking trip to the mountain of Otorten in the Sverdlovsk region. The group consisted of ten people, six students (including the head of the group - Igor Dyatlov), three graduates and one instructor of the neighboring tourist base. From Sverdlovsk they left by train on January 23. The last stronghold of civilization for young people was the geological settlement Second North. By the way, here one of the participants of the hiking trip on January 28 experienced health problems and was forced to return to Sverdlovsk. Running ahead, we will say that it saved the life of Yuri Yudin. He lived to see the venerable years and died in April 2013. The other nine members of the group moved out of the village on skis on the way to the mountains of Holatchahl and Oorten.

Death of the group Dyatlov

When tourists did not come home at the appointed time and did not even give any signals that they safely returned to civilization, panic began at the institute. And they should return on February 12. The first actions on the organization of prospecting works were undertaken on February 19, 1959. The children's tent was found on February 25 empty and strangely cut several times on the one side. The bodies of the participants in the trek were found until the beginning of May. At different distances from the tent, with strange signs of death - some had horrific traumas of the skull or chest, others were frozen in the snow, one of the group members literally had no tongue (with a compressed jaw, which indicated that it could not be animals). Moreover, they all left the tent very quickly, literally without clothes, as they were at that moment. Actually, the reasons that forced tourists to escape or leave (and traces at a distance of hundreds of meters from the tent indicate that they did not run at all) from their shelter in the night and in the frost, are the central issue of this whole story, which hit the group Dyatlov.

The reason for the death of the children has been hidden from the general public for more than fifty years. Moreover, there is not a single coherent theory in which all the features of the incident fit in: the strange skin color of the people found after a while, the position of the bodies, the absence of obvious traces of extraneous, incomprehensible origin, craniocerebral and thoracic traumas, strange incisions of the tent, Traces of radiation on the sweaters of two guys. But I must say that there are already several dozen versions of these. Among the most elaborate ones: connected with anthropogenic catastrophe, criminal (tourists could be victims of high-ranking military poachers, escaped prisoners and even foreign spies), avalanche, ball lightning and many others. But none of the versions explaining the death of the group Dyatlov, for today is not able to describe all events of that day logically and consistently. And especially the circumstances that forced tourists to leave the tent. At the same time, supporters of a number of conspiracy versions are sure that the truth about the death of the Djatlov group is known to the government, which in its time covered up the real causes of the tragedy. Investigator Lev Ivanov, who was still in business in 1959, could not disclose the true picture of the incidents (or could not tell?). In conclusion of the case to this day, there is a strange wording that the death of the group was caused by an unknown elemental power, which the tourists could not overcome.
