Symptoms of hemorrhoids: scarlet blood on toilet paper and underwear

Hemorrhoids are external and internal. And depending on the severity of the disease, hemorrhoids can be either acute or chronic. With external hemorrhoids are located under the skin and above the rectal mucosa. With internal hemorrhoids, these nodes are located above the rectum line. But regardless of the nature of the course of the disease, the main symptom is bleeding - the more neglected the disease, the more abundant it is.

The first stage (external hemorrhoids) usually does not bring to the person significant problems and pain. The only thing that alarms - scarlet blood on toilet paper after bowel movement, blemishes on the underwear and loss of hemorrhoids, which are easy to "insert" back. There is discomfort in the anus, a burning sensation, severity and itching. The fact is that the constantly evolving mucus from the rectum has an irritating effect on the nodes, thereby inducing similar manifestations.

Usually the first signs of external hemorrhoids are burning and blood on toilet paper, but as a rule after defecation all symptoms disappear, and the person continues to live with these unpleasant sensations, only aggravating the situation and not realizing to what complications untimely treatment can result. To the started disease can join acute paraproctitis (inflammatory process of near-rectum cellulose), anal fissures and fistulas. These complications are accompanied by unbearable pains, pus and high fever. In addition, blood and mucus in the stool can be observed during defecation.

Internal hemorrhoids are similar in appearance to the external. Blood is also observed on toilet paper, severe itching and a foreign body sensation in the anus. As a result of frequent constipation, there is a possibility of the appearance of intestinal bleeding due to permanent damage to the nodes by dense calves.

Especially dangerous is acute hemorrhoids, in which all symptoms are pronounced. The patient complains of a sharp piercing pain when walking and emptying, high temperature. There is also abundant blood on toilet paper and toilet bowl. This stage arises because of the infringement of the nodes or thrombosis. It is impossible to touch hemorrhoids, it becomes cyanotic and edematous.

The chronic form of hemorrhoids is more prolonged, with periodic exacerbations and remissions. At the very beginning of the disease, the patient has all of the above symptoms, with its development, these manifestations become more intense and can even lead to anemia.

How to relieve the condition?

Treatment

Medicine offers three treatment options for pathology: conservative, minimally invasive and surgical. Everything depends on the course of the disease and on its form. In the case of conservative treatment, various antihemorrhoidal suppositories, cream, ointments are prescribed. Often along with medicines prescribed herbal products that have hemostatic and anti-inflammatory properties (clover, chamomile, nettle).

A minimally invasive method is recommended when the conservative method does not have the proper result. Latex rings are superimposed on the hemorrhoids and eventually the "bump" just dries up and disappears. This procedure is painless and effective. If these two methods do not help, surgery is required.
