Soviet footballer and Russian coach Alexander Chugunov

Alexander Chugunov is a former Soviet football player, who is now a coach. He performed in the big sport from 1970 to 1984. This football player was not attached to any particular position and throughout his career was in the role of both defender and midfielder, and even an attacker. He was remembered as his versatility, and the devotion of the "Kuban", which will be discussed a little later. Alexander Chugunov began his coaching career nine years after the completion of his professional career and continues to do this, although not in big football, as he originally planned.

Carier start

Alexander Chugunov was born on the farm Sinyapkin in the Rostov region on May 10, 1953. He started soccer at the age of ten, and Kamensky "Progress" became its first professional club. There he performed from 1970 to 1971. First he played in Class B, then dropped into the amateur division, but the player's talent was obvious, so he was not held in such a hopeless club.

In 1972, a young talent joined the Rostov "SKA", for which he played only six games, before moving to Kuban next season, where he managed to reveal himself best. Alexander Chugunov found his real football house in this club.

The game for "Kuban"

Alexander Chugunov, whose biography has not yet had records of a long stay in a club, has finally found a place where he could safely play and reveal his talent. Four years the footballer spent in the "Kuban", playing 164 matches and scoring 17 goals. It was there that he became famous, gained popularity and was formed as a full-fledged football player.

However, even such an alliance came to an end, and in 1978, Alexander Chugunov, whose photos could be seen in various Soviet sports publications, moved to the Stavropol Dynamo. It is worth noting that this transfer did not particularly affect the attitude of local fans to the football player - they still loved this player, so when he returned, they met him more than joyfully.

Further career

Alexander Chugunov - a football player who did not stay in any other club for as long as in the "Kuban". In 1979, he left the team to join Dynamo from Stavropol, played 38 games there, scoring five goals. However, he did not last long there, and a year later he returned to his favorite club.

Another three years the player played for "Kuban", adding to his account another 69 matches and two goals. However, he did not finish his professional career here - in 1984, Chugunov signed a short-term contract with the Novorossiysk "Cement". Having played for a new club only two matches, Alexander announced that he is finishing with professional sports. It happened quite early, because at that time he was only 31 years old. Many players play for a few years longer, there are even those who finish in the area of forty. In any case, Chugunov completed his career quite early.

Career coach

For ten years, Chugunov did not appear in big football and was mainly concerned with his personal life. And only in 1995 it became known that he was appointed assistant coach of the Krasnodar "Kolos", but he remained in office for only a year. After another big break, Alexander tried his hand again - this time in the club "Krasnodar-2000", where he was also an assistant to the head coach for a year.

Then he again retired and returned only in 2009, when he was appointed a children's coach of the Sports School №5 in Krasnodar. In this position he has already spent more than seven years and is still engaged in the same. He trains children up to fifteen years old, who then can grow into full-fledged players of the local "Krasnodar".

In general, the career of this person as a football player can not be called particularly outstanding, and the career of the coach was even less remarkable. However, we can safely say that as a player, and as a mentor, he eventually found his place in the sun. Being a football player, he played seven years out of fourteen in the "Kuban", and after the end of his career, after several unsuccessful attempts to work with older teams, Chugunov stopped training young men, preparing them for the world of big football and growing talents for Krasnodar "And for Russia.
